Location is the key for this Reatocafe, Situated near the banks of river Bharatapuzha at the end of Mayannur Bridge, gives a good ambience especially on the first floor which is open. One can enjoy the evening breeze here. The menu is refreshing especially with Sizzlers and quesadillas, new to a cafe near Ottapalam. Wanted to try these but couldn't due to time constraints.
They have ample parking space, so parking is not a headache.
Ordered below items : French fries Chicken Tandoori Chicken manchow soup Chocolate milkshake
Got everything delivered in 10- 20 min timeframe which is good.
Now coming to the taste and quality of food which is critical for any restaurant. French fries - Ordered medium quantity. Good and Fresh with 2 dips, Mayo and tomato ketchup. Chicken Tandoori Quarter- Taste wise good but chicken was too small. Looked like that of a quail meat. Chicken manchow soup - Pathetic, not sure if that was a soup. Chocolate milkshake - another disaster, full of crushed ice, didnt get the taste at all.
Apart from food, another issue faced was power cuts and their generator had issues, so the lights were on and off frequently which irritated me to certain extent.

Read moreThe Bridge Restocafe in Ottapalam just keeps getting better. They've recently expanded, and the space feels even more inviting - with plenty of room to settle in, whether you’re flying solo or rolling in with your entire crew.
What’s really exciting is the refreshed menu. Alongside my bridge favorites, there’s now a diverse range of dishes from Continental, Chinese, and Arabian cuisines. It’s a treat to see so much variety under one roof, and everything still feels thoughtfully curated. My personal go-to? The Alfredo Chicken Pasta - rich, creamy, and straight-up comfort on a plate.
And then there’s the outdoor street cafe setup - a perfect chill spot to sip chai, munch on some quick bites, and just catch up with friends in the open air. Especially in the evenings, the vibe out there is just right - casual, breezy, and full of good conversation.
Whether you're coming for the food, the vibe, or both, The Bridge continues to be a space that feels rooted in community while constantly evolving. It’s more than just a cafe - it’s a place you feel good...
Read moreWe happened to visit the cafe during peak hours( 7-9 pm) but the staff was very keen and helpful on getting us a table in the roof area when we were contemplating leaving. Ambience is good and there was good live music during our visit. I believe the venue also holds open mics, although I'm not sure about it. So, ambience and hospitality is definitely good.
Now coming to the food,
Dishes ordered were:
Potato Wedges ( Decent but could use a bit of seasoning.)
Beef Quesadilla ( Not exactly authentic but tasted good nevertheless.)
Beef Burrito ( Was more of a wrap and less of a Burrito, taste was quite decent. Portion could be improved though.)
Kitkat blast shake ( Definitely worth the buck.)
Grape juice ( Can't really go wrong with that!)
Verdict: Great for a casual visit, the dishes we ordered seemed appropriately priced. Limited seating capacity is the only downside I noticed but you should be fine during...
