Nestled by the tranquil Chanaganacherry bypass in the picturesque location of Palathra, this small tea shop is a charming retreat for weary travelers and locals alike. However, despite the hype surrounding it, my personal experience here did not quite live up to expectations. The service was adequate, but not exceptional, and the items served were rather average. The tea shop's setting is undeniably serene, with its idyllic location offering a welcome respite from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The shop itself exudes a quaint charm, with its rustic decor and inviting ambiance. However, my visit was marred by the lackluster service and the mediocrity of the items served. The staff were polite, but not particularly attentive, and the tea and snacks I ordered were not as flavorful or satisfying as I had hoped. Overall, while the small tea shop by the side of Chanaganacherry bypass in Palathra certainly has its charms, my experience here was somewhat underwhelming. Perhaps it was an off day, or perhaps my expectations were simply too high. Nevertheless, I can't help but feel that there are better options out there for a truly memorable tea-drinking experience.

Definitely enjoyed visiting this place, had the elachi tea which reminded me of a lot of amazing teas I have had in life, the ambiance was the highlight of the place, and I guess our perspective, I throughly enjoyed my chai with the view, the fresh air and the green, just felt bad that people were littering everywhere, also ordered the chicken bonda which was beyond yummy and filling and definitely worth the price, looking forward to visiting here again for their chai. The location is definitely the major plus point and the quality and customer service as well. Looking forward to going to this place again in the near future.

The Chai Wallah is all about the vibe, the "coolness" and the ambiance. The entire 'Tapri' style shop (as u call it in Mumbai Hindi) is really cute and unique in Kerala. Can't talk about all the menu items as I just had a coffee there and the taste was a bit underwhelming. Nothing wrong but not something that matches the hype. But as I said it is all about the vibe and nothing beats it. A good place to chill and hang out and have an evening cuppa! (slight disappointment about one of the drinks not being available as that was the one reason I went there. It was only available in Alleppey at that point as per the person!)

Rates are very reasonable but tastes really bad. We ordered for horlicks and hot chocolate. The hot chocolate was really bad, they add edtoo much of water to milk and then add some chocolate syrup it seems. Anyhow it tasted really really bad. We had to wait for some 20minutes for horlicks as well. It looks good like with a good wibe from outside and had it been run properly, it would have been a great success but currently, bad food, bad service. There are a lot of people to serve but it seemed as if only 2 or 3 of thek were doing their work, rest were all standing idle here and there. From the last day's experience, I m never going to...

I visited this place and tried a ginger chai, masala chai, and a veg cutlet. Unfortunately, none of them were good, so I would only give 2 stars. The ambience was decent, but the seating and overall arrangements were not up to the mark. Behind the cart, there was some space, but it was poorly maintained and filled with garbage, which spoiled the atmosphere.

The only thing that caught my attention was the lighting, but apart from that, nothing stood out. The tea lacked proper flavor—the essence of ginger and masala was missing. Overall, the place really needs better maintenance and improvement in food quality to attract...
