Thelliyankal Bakers — Restaurant in Kerala

We happened to attend a wedding in Moovattupuzha and while returning back to Chennai we wanted get some kerala snacks.. we had been told about this precious "Thelliyankal Bakery" from a local auto driver ..having said that he also added they are the oldest bakers in town ! So we rushed to the place and it we couldn't stop cherishing the goodies over there! Right from their own heritage Milk Breadsto Carrot cake, everything was soooo delicious !! They also have a departmental store attached to their bakery so it was a one stop shop for all! The staff were all so helpful and help us translating whatever we asked for :) I I still remember their fresh fruit candy made from Kiwi, mango,jackfruit etc were all so yum ;) we filled our tummy with this delicious treat!! I recently had the pleasure of discovering this charming bakery during my visit to the area. What sets it apart is not just the delightful array of baked goods but the exceptional customer service. The cashier, who I consider might be the owner, went above and beyond to assist us despite the language barrier, displaying a level of courtesy that left a lasting impression.

To add a sweet touch, she generously offered us Uniappam, a local delicacy, as a complimentary treat. The gesture not only showcased their commitment to customer satisfaction but also introduced us to the flavors of the region.

I ordered a cake from this service with a promised delivery time of a maximum of 2 days. Trusting their assurance, I placed the order as a gift for a friend in Bangalore, intending to take it with me during my trip. However, it has now been 5 days, and the cake has still not been delivered, forcing me to leave for Bangalore without it.

Despite multiple follow-ups, all they did was share a screenshot of the tracking status, which I could already view myself. The status has not changed, and there has been no progress. When I contacted them again, they rudely cut the call, claiming the issue was already “handled.” Such behavior is completely unprofessional and unacceptable.

This has been the worst service I’ve ever experienced, and I would strongly advise against ordering from here. Customers deserve better...
