Vanarani Toddy Shop — Restaurant in Kerala

This Toddy shop was in news for it's concepts as a family place. Me and friends were plan for a while to go here and finally went there on last Thursday...may be my expectations were high, and Vanarani just managed to meet it. 😋

They have different types of Toddy like Munthiri Kallu, Ginger etc. And different variety of meat items like, rabbit, chicken, pork, crab, shells. We tried most of the items they have. Except crab, everything else found to be just average taste and quality, quantity. Crab rost was fresh and tasted better and other items we ordered. One of my friend, who visited this place before said Vanarani got name now, so quality of food and service is deteriorated.

You reach this place driving through forest like curvy roads, this some of your friends or family members may enjoy.

They have neat private rooms, so you can definitely go with your family members. Rooms are not sound proof, so you can hear what others talking and so be careful :)

They also have space for parking around 10 cars.

Cons: Inside and away from state highway. Overall quality of food average only, but...

Worst experience from this toddy shop..once this toddy shop was really gud in food and toddy but nowadays food is really bad and they are not care about that..recently my friends and I visited this place and ordered some food like duck roast,beef roast and pork roast and idi Irachi with Kappa and appam alongwith palm toddy.. I don't know what happened with them. the food was average even the palm toddy but there service was really good and very friendly , btw we all got food poison and I suffered for 3 days and my friend were admitted to the hospital for one day because of the food poison and this is my second time I feel bad experience from this toddy shop..they have to do something care about customers health and food and toddy as well but I am satisfied with their service.. we hope they would improve their food and...

The worst food served .Nadan chicken ordered was waste , Pork fry served was all waste there was no meat at all . Kappa was like 4 days old . Days old Kallappam was heated and served , Porota was full of oil like it was some variety of pappad and the arrogance of the waiter was like as if he was serving some free food . I am sharing pics of food ordered in first round so that they can’t deny anything and nothing on this was good and all the fun spoiled for the rest of the day . There is no option to give zero rating or else that would be the most appropriate.

Forgot to mention I have been to this same place before don’t remember exactly but I think December 2015 . Then the food was worth the travel from thiruvalla . We were around 9 people and we really enjoyed the dishes there...
