I had the pleasure of savoring the "Fish Nirvana" and the "prawns roast," both of which were absolutely divine. The Fish Nirvana was a masterpiece of flavor and texture. The fish, cooked to perfection, was flaky and moist, with a delicate sweetness that melted in my mouth. The accompanying spices and herbs enhanced the natural flavors of the fish, creating a symphony of taste that was simply divine. The prawns roast was equally impressive. The prawns were succulent and juicy, with a hint of smokiness from the roasting process. The marinade was a perfect blend of spices, adding a depth of flavor that was both bold and nuanced. Every bite was a culinary adventure, a testament to the chef's skill and passion. Combined with the refreshing atmosphere and the unique boat ride experience, this restaurant is a must-visit for anyone seeking a truly memorable dining experience. Read moreWhile planning an outing with my colleagues in a nearby place google showed this amazing place with good review. We were looking for a quiet place where my team can forget everything and be themselves enjoy and be happy. I called up and asked for an unusual request " A Christmas day Lunch for more than 20" . The owner took only 5 minutes to get back and give an affirmation. He listened and patiently replied my every query. We placed our special orders previous day itself...
We reached the place by 12.30 and we just relaxed all together had a wonderful time followed by a delicious, homely food.
The place is in Kumbalangi. After crossing St George Church in 50 meters there is a right turn in front of the Petrol Pump. going ahead is the beautiful road leading to Chellanam both sides ornamented with small waves whispering to the shore. On the Boarder you will see the Chellanam Grama Panchayat welcome board. Take the next left turn, the road is narrow, but a car can easily go. after a few hundred meters the road ends to a muddy road, going ahead you may find enough parking spot. From there A "Varambu" stars and can be bit tricky. but it leads to a 100-meter passage to this beautiful quiet and warm place.
Looking for a tranquil place to relax and have a delicious fresh food, this is a place to...
Read moreI wouldn't call this just a restaurant. It's more of an experience. After reaching their parking space, once you call them, a boat will come to pick you up. 2- 3 minutes away is the restaurant on an island. The ambience is very welcoming. The restaurant is a small cozy place. We went during the peak 'kavaru' (bioluminescence) season and hence the menu was limited to a few items, which was informed to us in advance when we called. All the dishes were really fresh and tasty. The fish and prawns were sourced from the surrounding farms itself. The beef puzhungiyath is not an item you get everywhere and it paired exceptionally well with puttu. Appam, putt, kappa putt etc. were prepared fresh after ordering, adding to their taste. The staff are really friendly and are attentive to all your needs.
You have an option to explore the bioluminescence during the season in the nearby waters. 300 per person per 30 minutes for kayaking. There are staff to assist you with kayaking. All safety measures are in place and the waters are not too deep. When there is no bioluminescence, they have an expanded menu, and takes group bookings.
We were really happy with the entire experience and would...
