A cafe This is one of a kind cafe in Kodaikanal. Firstly it’s located a bit away from the city. About 4kms from the heart of town. The location is somewhat unconventional. It’s part of Cloudwalks Homestay. Top rated Homestay in Kodai. The ambience is top class. It’s like a star hotel eatery of the British raj. There is antiques everywhere. Even the furniture is antique. They have some of the amazing collection of art work. Including Japanese katana and a Persian art. Coming to the food. We had a 10 inch all veg pizza and penne pasta. For starters we had Turkish eggs, prawn peri peri, And hot chocolate. They don’t have any good dessert selection. Their cold pressed carrot juice needs special mention. Food wise everything will s top class. They prepare the food only after taking the order. So it takes some time. But always worth the wait. Pizza needs a special mention. Everything is prepared in front of our eyes. Their specially made oven is a delight. It takes just 2 minutes for the pizza to cook. Taste is delicious and feels very light. Apparently they use imported pizza flour from Italy for their base. The location is top class. It overlooks Kodaikanal city and we can see the lake from here Their outdoor seating was getting ready. They are building a bonfire, once ready, one can sit out and enjoy the jewel box view and the bonfire. I don’t think there is any other cafe in Kodai with this kind of set up. A really calm and serene place with a great view and very nice ambience but that's not THE reason why you should visit there. It's the FOOD FOOD FOOD!!!! This restaurant is run by a family of foodies. They are awesome ppl who are really friendly and welcoming. The amount of attention and care to detail is simply amazing, its shows that they really care about the food they serve. We visited the cafe twice and was able to see the consistency in the quality of food coming out of their kitchen One of the best pasta and sandwiches I've had in a while. Their menu has lot of variety. I believe that the food they serve is so much better cause a lot of ingredients that go into their cooking is homegrown right from the vegetables and herbs. Update to my earlier review - Our third visit today was as good a happy foodie experience as the ones before.
