Kolkata 40 — Restaurant in Kolkata

Though the ambience was decent, there were some major issues that my friend and I have noticed. First of all, any good restaurant has four to five basic things that are placed on the table before guests arrive at a table. One of those basic things is a knife which was absent, as a result of which we faced difficulty in slicing the food pieces. On complaining this to the hotel staff they told that we should have asked for a knife. Why should we ask for such a basic thing that should already be there? Now comes the food. I ordered a "Chicken Reshmi Kabab" and my friend ordered a "Chicken Ala Keiv". Hearing the names of both of these dishes an image of a juicy and buttery chicken comes to mind. But in reality that was not the case. In both the dishes the chicken was not well cooked and it was difficult to chew it. The "Chicken Ala Keiv" was so stubborn that while my friend was trying to slice it the crust came out and fell on the floor. It was such a mess! My only request to the owner of this restaurant is to maintain the basic dinning etiquette and to hire an experienced chef who can cook well and serve well!...

I am very sorry that I am writing this review because this restaurant has deteriorating day by day regular customer will understand. And they also target the regular customers only, Reality is when you dine in there is a old man he might be the manager I don't know but he will always asked about the food but if I say it's smell awful, quantity is not sufficent or any issues with the quality will you change it? Actually no you guys won't, recently I bought crispy chilli potato and fried rice both the food was not upto the mark. And now when I face the same problem again I have decided not to buy from here even I have complained twice but there is no change there is many competition. The main USP is ac sitting arrangements but it won't make to a 5 star not even 2 star because when I am spending 500 rs for a meal I should get value of 500 rs they treat like us ailen like money has no values. Last a Ekta khotha bolta Chai Jodhi fried rice veggies Sathe tossed Kora dila sei ta fried rice hoi Jai na salt ta dita hoi amon mistake ami khokono...

Ordered from Zomato: Chicken Cheese Maggi - Tastes aweful. No maggi masala added, just over boiled it and no salt added with microscopic limited chicken pieces. Cream of mushroon - Very stale and not at all thick as expected. Mixed Fried rice - Very generic like home made. The reason why one orders from outside is not at all met. Very generic in taste and veggies are somewhat raw and hard.

I requested them to send cuttlery which should be by default irrespective of whether customer asks for it or not, they declined the request and didn't send even 1 spoon and fork. Such cheap mentality by the owners. This restaurant could be running on hype but food along with client satisfaction approach is very concerning. Point is, don't go by their price list, overall this place is full waste for your food...
