Area 96 Riverside Restaurant — Restaurant in Kulgaon Badlapur

Visited Area 96 Riverside Restaurant recently, and I must say the ambience is absolutely beautiful. The location is scenic, calm, and perfect for a relaxed outing with friends or family. Set by the riverside, the natural surroundings and open-air seating create a very peaceful and refreshing environment. It’s especially lovely in the evenings when the lights come on and the breeze picks up—ideal for a chill weekend dinner or a casual date.

The place is well-designed with a mix of indoor and outdoor seating. The music was at a comfortable volume, and the overall setting felt clean and organized. You can tell they’ve put effort into creating a relaxing dining vibe.

Coming to the food—while the presentation and variety on the menu were good, the taste was average and could be improved. Some dishes lacked depth of flavor, and seasoning felt inconsistent. It’s not that the food was bad, but considering the beautiful setup, expectations were slightly higher.

The staff was polite and service was fairly prompt. With some tweaks to the taste and consistency of the food, this place could become a must-visit destination.

Terrible Experience at Area 96

I had an awful experience at Area 96. The service was subpar, with the waiter completely inattentive to our needs. To make matters worse, the selection of soups and starters was extremely limited. The waiter even forced us to skip certain items, claiming they added color to the recipe, which was quite frustrating.

The food itself was disappointing. The chicken starter was very average, and the prawns sizzler was equally unimpressive. The only redeeming aspect of the meal was the French fries, which I suspect were just packaged fries they fried themselves—hardly an impressive recipe.

On top of that, the service continued to disappoint. I was there with my young daughter, and someone from the staff kindly gave her a balloon, which was a nice gesture. However, when we were leaving, the cashier or owner came running after us, demanding the balloon back. I was shocked and irritated by this behavior.

The only positive aspect of the visit was the ambiance, but it certainly wasn't enough to make up for the poor service and food. I will not be returning to this...

I recently visited Area96 with my friend, expecting a pleasant dining experience, but unfortunately, the service and treatment we received left much to be desired. Upon arriving, we were told that the restaurant could not accommodate us, despite we are seated on a table. It was especially frustrating because we noticed that larger groups with no reservation were waiting for our table to get vacant.

The staff's behavior was also unprofessional. When we inquired about why our table was denied, the response was rude and dismissive. It was clear that they preferred to accommodate bigger groups, regardless of reservation status. This kind of treatment, based solely on the number of people in a party, is completely unacceptable.

I had heard good things about this place, but I won’t be returning due to the unprofessionalism and unfairness we encountered. There are plenty of other restaurants in the area that value all their customers, no matter the size...
