We had the pleasure of staying at Kaya Café and Guest House in Leh during the last week of August 2024, and it was an unforgettable experience. The guest house boasts an incredible ambiance, blending traditional Ladakhi warmth with the comforts of modern hospitality.

Namgyal and his family, who run the guest house, are some of the kindest people we've ever met. As an original Ladakhi family, they truly go above and beyond to make you feel at home. Every meal served was home-cooked, and I must say, the breakfast, lunch, and dinner were all delicious! Each dish carried authentic Ladakhi flavors, and the attention to detail in the preparation was clear.

As a tea lover, I was delighted by the variety of teas they offered throughout our stay. Each cup was a unique experience, and their hospitality shone through every little detail.

One of the highlights of our stay was the village tour that Namgyal personally guided. The scenery was absolutely breathtaking, and Namgyal's deep knowledge of the local traditions and culture added so much to the experience. He is a truly generous and knowledgeable host, always ready to share fascinating insights about Ladakhi life.

The guest house itself offers stunning views from the windows, with beautiful landscapes all around. It’s a serene and peaceful place, perfect for anyone looking to escape into nature while still enjoying excellent hospitality.

I highly recommend Kaya CafĂ© and Guest House to anyone visiting Leh. It’s more than just a place to stay—it’s a full Ladakhi experience that you won’t...

Set up in a quiet village and with the quaint setting, this place has its own charm for those wanting to stay away from the hustle and bustle of the crowded Leh city. Just about 30 minutes away from Leh, you will come across this beautiful place where not only snow-capped mountains and scenic landscapes soothe your mornings but also easily visible milky way with galactic core and millions of shining stars make your casual star-gazing activity at nights worthwhile. This place is so quiet and relaxing that I shifted my base here instead at Leh during my 2 weeks of stay in Ladakh. After every few days of hectic, back-breaking and adventurous journey in the difficult terrain of Ladakh, my mind and body certainly thanked me for taking a much needed break at this wonderful place. Hashim's friendly nature and amazing hospitality made me feel like at home and Pooja's sumptuous and gourmet food is to die for. It's difficult to point out but still my most favorite was the Pizza with the vegan cheese. I can bet that even non-vegans would prefer to eat this healthier and tastier version which is fully loaded with the veggies derived right from the kitchen garden at the property - the ultimate "farm to table" implementation that you will witness right in front of you! @Pooja - my gnocchi is due and I will be back again to...
