Bad quality food and taste.
We were a group of 6, tired after a day of visiting locations at Pachmarhi. 4 of us went for veg food and 2 for non veg.
These people have a nice and a cosy ambience with a good class of crowd. It was a sunday dinner time and they had arrangements for live music which was good.
It started with our starter orders where we had paneer tikka, crispy corn and veg crispy. All these were not at all upto the mark. Crispy corn was sprinkled with too much of black pepper and utter veges which made it a little soggy. The veg crispy had too much of sauce and was over cooked. By now we knew we cannot much expect much from this place in terms of food. Later came paneer tikka. It has 6 pieces. No so special.
Coming to the veg main course This is the place probably serving the worst dal tadka as the cook seems never to have tasted dal at all in his life. It was some nuisance dal prepration that they gave tadka to. And when we complained about it not being upto the mark. The attender simply added more oil and cumin tadka prepration to it making the dal bitter and non edible. We asked to return the dal and it's charges were deducted from the final bill later.
The table attendant suggested us to go for Paneer Lazeez and chicken Angara for main course. 2 people of ours who had Chicken Angara were fine with it but again not so special to even recommend.
Coming to Paneer Lazeez it was yet again a nightmare. It was over oily with I suppose had old/used oil. When asked to correct that crazy cook over there added more chilly to it. Making it more non edible, So it went wasted. Anyhow we finished having roti. I had to go for a gulab jamun Rs. 50 for 2 pieces where it was just Haldiram gulab jamun and I see no reason to keep at this price 30 for 2 should have been fine.
The table attendant and staff was polite and it's worth mentioning they could not help to properly serve everyone on such a Sunday Rush ! But we were there for food at first place which was utter rubbish I don't see justice to what I paid for. I would not have gone for such a creepy food for free even.
Place looks good and promising from outside but when you may be tired and expecting a good food after a day of trips and sightseeing this is definitely not the right place.
On bill payment desk when told this review to owner he had a loud mouth to say it's raining and a rush food quality gets degraded. Then to those excuses I would suggest places with such reasons to shut hotel for time being if they cannot handle and cook or stop accepting tables.
Please DO NOT GO to this place. I wrote this long review to explain every aspect of...
Read moreI visited this restaurant during my trip to Pachmarhi on the recommendation of my gypsy driver. After a hectic first half of the day, I was really looking forward to a satisfying lunch—but unfortunately, the experience fell short.
We ordered Kadhai Paneer, Dal Tadka, Tawa Rotis, Raita, Lassi, and plain Buttermilk. The Kadhai Paneer was the biggest letdown: it was overly oily, extremely spicy, and lacked flavor—easily one of the worst versions I've had. The Lassi also disappointed, with undissolved sugar affecting the overall taste.
The Dal, Raita, and Buttermilk were just average—nothing memorable. While the service was quick, the staff seemed untrained and unsure of what they were doing, which added to the dissatisfaction. Had to ask 2-3 times before the basic salad(onion) was finally served.
The only positive aspect was the ambiance. The restaurant had a spacious, well-cooled seating area and water sprinklers at the entrance that provided some relief from the heat.
Overall, I'd recommend exploring other dining options in Pachmarhi for a better...
Read moreBeta Bawarchi is definitely a place where food lovers will enjoy a delightful experience. The taste, flavor, and freshness of the dishes were absolutely amazing. Each dish we tried was well-prepared, full of authentic flavors, and served hot, which really enhanced the overall dining experience. The quality of food clearly shows the effort and expertise of the chefs, and for anyone who enjoys good food, this restaurant is a must-try.
However, while the food exceeded expectations, the service could use some improvement. The staff was polite but the overall service was a bit slow and not as attentive as one would expect from such a good restaurant. With better service and a little more focus on customer attention, Beta Bawarchi has the potential to become one of the best dining places around.
Overall, I would still highly recommend this restaurant for its outstanding food. If you are someone who values taste above everything else, this is definitely worth visiting. Once the service improves, it will be an all-round...
