I had the worst experience of my life in this restaurant. Their menu is a scam.
They charge you double for each item. This is how they do it:
For an item, the price is written on a digital menu, you have to scan a qr code for it. You order one serving for it, and they charge you double. On asking why the charge is double, they reply that the menu price is for half the quantity. Okay, but no mention of “half” the quantity in the menu, NO mention of it by the waiter verbally.
I have visited restaurants around the world, never ever faced this kind of a scam. When we confronted the staff on the counter he first denied that this was a problem and later agreed to it but refused to correct his bill. He was adamant. Such an unpleasant experience when I visited there with family. You know you are being scammed and can’t do anything about it.
Now the food.
Their Nahari is not Nahari. They have twisted the flavour to a simple north India curry.
In the Mandi, the mutton has no resemblance of the Arabian Mandi. It is full of sweet cream. Nothing Arabic about it.
They should change their name. Arabic restaurants are far better in terms of food and definitely in terms of honesty towards...

Arab Nama used to be known for its real Arab food, but now it's not the same. The taste has changed to be more like typical Indori food, not like it used to be. When I asked the staff about it, they said people like spicier food, so they changed it.
Now, the problem is they say it's a special Arab dish called mandi, but it tastes more like regular pulao, and they charge a lot for it, around 700-800. It feels like they are not keeping their promise of giving real Arab food.
Maybe they should call it "Indori Nama" instead, because it doesn't taste Arab anymore, even though they still use Arab names for the dishes. If you want something similar but cheaper, Zakir Restaurant nearby has a biryani that tastes almost the same. Sadly, my last visit to Arab Nama was disappointing, and I won't...
Read moreVisited Arabnama recently and I can finally say that an authentic Arabic food outlet is here. Their main USP is their Mandi. Mandi is a rice preparation with rice and meat, but the rice is cooked in meat broth alongwith a good amount of spices. The Mandi is then assembled with cooked rice at the bottom of the plate and meat on top, the meat proportion is more than the rice here. Next is the Kunaffah, its the best you can get in Indore. Its made with thin strands of homemade phyllo dough stuffed with cream cheese in between and then pan fried until crisp. Its delicious. This place is mainly for non veg lovers, vegetarians dont have any scope here. The best part is the seating, where you can sit on ground level and enjoy your meal with family and friends in a common thaal. Absolutely...
