Melting Pot Restaurant Madurai — Restaurant in Madurai

We were in Madurai for a holiday and wanted to go somewhere fancy for a nice dinner to celebrate. We had ordered several items ( All of which were personally recommended by the CHEF).

1 was good. Most were average. We had ordered 1 prawn dish where we alll felt that was extremely salty. We feedback to the waitress who brought the dish back to the kitchen.

The Chef came out and we relayed our feedback. He simply told us that he had tasted it and it was seasoned well. Thats it.

We were still billed for the prawns which we had returned to then kitchen. We even highlighted to the waitress. she brought the bill back and returned back with the same bill, saying there was nothing she could do about it.

Horrid...

Hi we dropped in for lunch there on Saturday, place was not crowded and there was people drinking in the afternoon, the staff was pretty snotty, behaved as if they are an exclusive restaurant, food was trash and very little in quantity for the exorbitant price, ambience was ok, but pretentious low class gaudy, they had charcoal menu, I have been up and down this country, why do these restaurants think we are idiots, that we would pay high price for worthless morsels, and the attitude of the staff was horrible, don't ever eat here it's not worth it, even a street side vendor...

Recently stayed at Poppys Hotel in Madurai and was thoroughly impressed. The room was exceptionally clean, and the service provided was top-notch.
