My friend i visited this hotel to have lunch today 21st August 2023 at about 2.20pm. Very disappointing to say the least.
First they said chappathi and naan were available. When we ordered chappathi they said it was over and no tiffin items were available. We then ordered South Indian meal. It was priced @ ₹180 plus taxes. The menu consisted of lime juice as starter, a chappathi, kuruma, kesari, sambar normal and kaarakuzhambu, kovakkai curry and beetroot curry, rasam and appalam besides the usual rice.
The rice was hardly boiled and was very hard. I wonder how children and elderly would feel after they ate. I guess they would feel like a python after it had swallowed a heavy buffaloe. The curd was very sour and hardly 50 ml. All items were very hot as they've used lot of chilly in them. To compensate the effects condiment we ordered another cup of curd. They said it was exhausted. We then asked for buttermilk which also they said was exhausted.
The have on cash counter a certificate from CBIC appreciating their timely payment of GST and filing of returns. I think they've merely downloaded it from GSTN portal and kept it there to impress the visitors.
I don't recommend this hotel to anyone. Beware of deceptive appearance and self boasting marketing hype. They are there merely to make money and do not hesitate to fool people.
My sincere request to visitors is that do not lavish eulogies on such hotels. They are not giving charity or render any non commercial services. So be critical...
Read moreI visited Manoj bhavan Acharapakkam on 02 Nov 2024 with my family for lunch while returning back to Chennai. As it was lunch time there was crowd and little more crowd as people were returning back from their home town post Diwali. Firstly the AC in their dine in was not working and as there was huge crowd people started to sweat. And secondly the rice was over, so people who ordered meals have to wait for more time. And the rice was half cooked. I never waste my food. But unfortunately because of no AC and half boiled rice, I couldn't consume my meal. I left half of the portion without eating. The captain Manikandan has to learn some basic manners of responding to customers. His attitude is as if they are serving food free of cost. I asked him why AC is not working and he said that there is some problem in AC. If so they should repair it as customers on highway choose this hotel for comfort and good food during journey. They cannot make customers sit in area where there is no AC and charge for unpleasant food experience. The ladies who serve food are fast and have good response. South Indian meal for 160 INR is too much for non AC and half cooked rice. Overall bitter experience because of malfunction of AC and half...
Read moreI recently had an unbelievably disappointing experience at Manoj Bagan Hotel, a supposedly reputable branch of Manoj Bhavan. Despite their flashy advertisements, huge buildings, and fancy menu, the service was downright atrocious.
We arrived at 7:45 PM for dinner, a normal time, but were told that only a small portion of the menu was available—not even basics like parotta or dosa varieties. The service was abysmal; it took over 20 minutes to get a simple order of dosa and idli.
To top it off, I saw a rat under the table. When I informed the staff, they just laughed and did nothing. The lack of hygiene was disgusting, and I couldn't eat in peace after that. After waiting 15 minutes for coffee, I was told they had none. The waiters were useless, constantly getting our orders wrong and communicating poorly.
This was by far the worst dining experience I've ever had. Everyone at the restaurant was equally dissatisfied and had the same terrible experience. Do yourself a favor and stay far away from this place. Don't waste your time or money at Manoj...
