ZERO STARS – Worst Service Ever!
I don’t usually write Negative reviews, but my experience at Only Coffee was so unbelievably terrible that I have to warn others. If I could give this place zero stars, I would.
First off, the name "Only Coffee" is misleading—because you’d think a place that focuses only on coffee would at least get the basics of hospitality right. They don’t.
I walked in carrying my newborn baby, expecting a simple, pleasant experience. Instead, I was met with sheer indifference and incompetence. The place had plenty of waiters standing around, but not a single one seemed remotely interested in doing their job. Several tables had chairs turned upside down, making it incredibly difficult to find a place to sit.
I politely asked one of the waiters to help me pull up a chair—while holding my newborn—and instead of assisting, he completely ignored me and passed the request off to someone else. No one helped. Let me emphasize: I was standing there, struggling with a newborn in my arms, and these so-called employees just stood around doing nothing. Not one person had the basic decency to assist a customer in clear need.
How hard is it to pull out a chair? How heartless do you have to be to watch a parent struggling with an infant and do absolutely nothing? The utter disregard for customers here is astonishing.
I didn’t even bother ordering after that. If they can’t manage the simplest act of service, I have zero confidence in their ability to serve a decent cup of coffee.
DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY HERE. This place doesn’t deserve a single cent from paying customers. If you value basic human decency, go...
Read moreTop notch coffee/tea joint that I have ever been to in a highway. Located between Melmaruvathur and Chennai by-pass road. Authentic tea and coffee served here on copper vessels. High quality beverage. Would highly recommend for someone who stops for a tea or coffee on the highway on this stretch. What I admired the most is the strong bond the place has to do with traditional Tamil culture in terms of food (snacks) and aplay toy accessories (for kids). You get highly hygienic traditional food items like Karuppu kavuni rice and dry rice flakes (aval or poha) along with couple of parambariya (traditional) rice (like mappulai sambar, kudal vaazhai, poongar, kaatu yaanai rice etc) along with groundnut jaggery balls, sesame balls, plenty of vintage snacks etc. This will be a default stop for me going forward. They also deliver (via courier) these items to our home which best suited our need as we could not carry too much stuffs along with us. They also allow outside food and have a separate board indicating the same, have never seen...
Read moreOn the way back from Mael maruvathur towards Chennai, just about 15 min drive you can spot this on the left side. There are a few similar ones before this spot, however this spot steals the spotlight. Though I was a bit disappointed that they didn’t have any fresh juice & they said it was seasonal, however the service for a snack or quick bite is more than what you’d expect. For a simple dosa & coffee, the waitress was super friendly & always willing to get you something that would make you happy. The moment either the chutney or Sambar gets over, she was right there with the thooku (vessel) to serve your choice. Sometimes I felt that even the name brand hotels / restaurants don’t have such friendly service. If I’m not wrong the name of the waitress was Aishwarya, for whom we left a note on the feedback form they had. There are a few shops to get some souvenirs as well & may be even buy a few snacks for the ride back home. Overall a good rest stop before you head back to the busy...
