The hotel is at Vadkhal, below the main bypass bridge on the Mumbai Goa Highway. The hotel at the corner is clearly visible, though it has an issue with parking space and cannot hold more than 3-4 cars in the parking lot. The restaurant's insides are basic, with 3 rows of seating available. The washrooms of the restaurant are accessible by climbing down a flight of stairs from the other side. But it is to be noted that the washrooms are pathetic and stinking. And in the women's washrooms, even water was not available. It was utterly unhygienic and surprising, considering this is one of the best restaurants in the area. We ordered the Kadai Paneer, Plain Roti, Butter Naan, and Masala Papad for lunch. The Masala papad was above average, with the fried papad sprinkled with some chili powder and topped off with chopped tomatoes and onion. Both were not properly chopped, as the pieces were uneven. The Kadai Paneer tasted good, with plenty of cube-shaped paneer pieces. The good thing was that they followed the special instructions not to add coriander and capsicum to the dish. Also, the spice level was perfect, and the food tasted delicious. The butter roti and naan were cooked to perfection. As per the name, the naan was topped off with a generous amount of melted butter. The roti and naan were soft and perfectly complemented the kadai paneer. However, the problem arose after some time when all of us started feeling uneasy, and that's when we realized that the paneer was of horrible quality. Thankfully, we did not get severely ill, but we were feeling nauseous. Thus, this might be the last time we eat here as the quality is below average, the washrooms are horrible, and the entire hotel has become pathetic. Avoid it; the only good thing is the naan and rotis !!!

On mumbai goa highway about 80 km from mumbai on junction of alibaug and goa Amantran is located. Its a pure veg restaurant. For several years its serving good veg food to the tourist. Its clean and only indoor seating restaurant. Parking on ground floor. Clean washrooms are available for tourist. All south Indian and maharashtrian veg food choices are available. Its well maintained. Rates are to the standards. Mostly crowded during lunch and dinner hours. Its a good place to take break. the dinner is served till 10.30 pm. Taste of the food is good. It has a attached store where multiple homemade items are sold for past several years. It is just opposite vadkhal ST depot. The staff is helping natural and quick service is available. Most of the items are served in few minutes. People on move can get a good refreshing break here. Most of the south indian dishes are meeting the taste of region. For pure vegetarian people its a good choice. If you are travelling to alibaug or goa you can take break as amantran to get fresh. During peak hours there is a waiting for several minutes. Now. Days there are several restaurants available on this highway but still amantran retains its name. Most of the time there is worst traffic in surrounding.

I have been here many times on my trips to Konkan and Alibaug. This place is open till late which is great if your are traveling in late hours. They have a huge menu but don't be fooled. There's lot of variation in quality of the food. Depending upon what you order you might get a really good tasting dish or a bad one. You will not get good Chinese/Continental food here even if it is on the menu. Try to order Indian. South Indian and Maharashtrian Food is good. Also if possible have it at the restaurant instead of packing it. Try their Red Peru ice-cream it tastes great. I think they need to trim down their menu a bit with customer feedback. But then customers should also should not expect great international cuisine in a random countryside restaurant.
