Amravan Garden Restaurant, Alibag – A Must-Visit for Seafood Lovers

On our way back to Mumbai from Alibag, we had a wonderful lunch at Amravan Garden Restaurant.

Ambiance & Setting: Cozy open seating with plenty of open parking. Surrounded by lush greenery, giving a peaceful, nature-filled vibe. A small garden with mango trees and swings, perfect for relaxing while waiting for our table. Our group of 5 adults and 2 kids was given a big, spacious table, adding to the comfort. Food Experience: Their staff was very friendly, and since most of us are seafood lovers, we ordered:

Seafood Platter – Included fried Pomfret, Bangada (Mackerel), Surmai, Rava-fried Prawns, and Bombil. Every piece was cooked to perfection, crispy, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. Tisrya (Clam) Masala & Prawns Masala – Both curries were outstanding, but the Tisrya Masala stood out with its rich, authentic taste. Rice Bhakari – Soft and complemented the curries beautifully. Prawns Pulao – Unexpectedly amazing, especially when paired with the Tisrya gravy. Solkadhi – Chilled, refreshing, and the perfect way to soothe our taste buds after a heavy seafood feast. We wanted to try Jitada fish, but unfortunately, it was unavailable.

Final Surprise: Before leaving, we discovered their own-brand coconut jelly, something new for us—and it tasted amazing!

Overall Verdict: A fantastic experience with delicious seafood, great ambiance, and warm hospitality. Highly recommended for anyone...

Food is not at all tasty , we had fish thali and a mutton thali as well. Fish wasn’t fresh or tasty, it was deep fried, same goes with prawns . Very small size of prawns and again deep fried which took away all its freshness and taste. We also had a tisrya masala, which is a supposed to be a nice well cooked dry dish, but it was just gravy based and has one tisra with all the mud in it. Photo attached for reference. It was giving the “kach kch” feeling of eating sand. Free we showed them the mud filled shell in the bowl, they cancelled the price for it. The solkadhi here is on a slightly sweeter side, not actual konkani solkadhi. The service is good and the ambience and cleanliness is really good. Just hope they keep good chef and fresh...

I had visited to this restaurant along with my family. I am unhappy on the Food Quantity they provided when I ordered Mutton Thali and the Service was really unorganized.

They literally gave me only 2 pieces in my mutton thali which i felt is really not the right way to present any Thali and provide a good Service. I did request one of the waiter there to look into this but his answer was really rude and not at all co-operative towards the customer. I am not happy with this kind of service and quantity they provided in my food.

Everyone, do think before visiting this restaurant. Hope this situation never happens with any other customer who is really very hungry and reaches this place expecting that he/she will have a...

One of the best restaurants in Alibag! We had the Prawns Thali, Surmai Thali, and Caramel Custard—everything was absolutely delicious. If you're in Alibag, this place is a must-visit, especially for the Caramel Custard—it's truly amazing. The ambiance is lovely, surrounded by trees, especially mango trees, creating a peaceful setting. The staff is polite, the service is excellent, and the place is well-maintained with clean toilets. There are a few cute dogs around, but they stay outside the hotel, so if you're not a fan of dogs, there's nothing to worry about. We enjoyed our experience so much that we’ve already decided to visit again!
