I visited this place on a weekend morning, and even though it was quite busy, the service was fast and well-managed. What I loved most is the simplicity and authenticity of their food. The misal here is full of flavor, carrying that real gavran punch without being unnecessarily fancy. You can even ask for a less spicy version, which is a nice touch for those who prefer a milder taste.
The pav they serve is soft and fresh, and the best part is they don’t overload it with butter like many other places. This helps retain the authentic gavran taste of the misal itself. Along with misal, I tried their milk tea (चहा) which was perfectly brewed, strong yet smooth, and paired wonderfully with the meal. The crispy potato pakoda (बटाटा भजी) is another highlight—simple, crunchy, and served hot.
The place itself is small and old-fashioned, but that’s part of its charm. It feels like a no-nonsense eatery where the focus is completely on good food and customer satisfaction. Prices are reasonable, and the overall vibe is welcoming. It’s the kind of place where you come for the taste and keep returning because of the consistency.
If you’re in Pimpri-Chinchwad and craving authentic misal with a true homely touch, Athithi Misal is definitely worth a visit. A humble setup with unforgettable flavors. Highly...
Read moreI had been to this place many times since my childhood.
It's a restaurant with a normal ambiance, clean, can accommodate around 15-25 people at a time. The service people and owner are very polite.
The misal paav will have mixture of farsan (Indian Snack) with onions, tomato and rassa (a kind of Maharashtrian curry made of moth bean), soft but crisp paav (Bread) with butter roasted and a small bowl of curd. Two paav are served initially then you can order as required. This special misal as it is known going to cost your around 60 INR. The masala chai / tea is also very awesome.
This place is located near Nav maharashtra high school. So I would recommend this place for all misal loving people and newbies go and try this...
