Stopped here on a Sunday afternoon for lunch, the place was deserted. I should have moved on, but since we were hungry , we decided to stop.. The service staff seemed absolutely not interested, kept looking around and avoiding. It’s not like a massive place that they didn’t see us. Had to wave for a bit from a loooong distance of 10 feet to catch their attention. Some guy came to take the order. We asked for veg thali and some snacks. Also asked if they have poori, he said yes, so I asked him to get pooris instead of chapati. After some time when he got the thali, there was chapati in it. So I just went to the counter and reminded him politely that we had ordered Pooris. He said that the thali has pooris. I asked him where he was from and in which part of the world is Chapati called a poori.. he said this part (Pune) .. hamaare lucknow mein Poori toh Poori hoti hai ..(I pity him for saying that) I brought it to the notice of the captain (short bearded guy, wearing a cap) .. he said we don’t serve Pooris. I politely asked him to cancel the order as we have not got what we had been promised. He said very rudely ‘won’t cancel, and if you didn’t want the food, say it that way’ .. I told him that we are hungry and the only reason we stopped was because we wanted food. But since I am paying, and I want what I have been promised, I will not eat what you want me to eat. He kept arguing, until the owner came from inside after hearing the loud voices. I calmly told the owner that we will not eat this and want to cancel. He seemed to understand our point of view and said it’s ok. We don’t serve poori, and you can cancel. Horrible experience dealing with...
Read moreI tried chicken masala thali, main chicken plate in thali seemed like chicken handi like taste, not like authentic homemade taste as we expect, but taste was good, paandhra rassa was bit less than average, and other items were bit average. Overall if someone likes chicken handi like taste, in thali then one can try. Authentic thali lovers might not feel that much up to mark. Overall good but not not authentic. Hotel has space for small family functions...
