Read moreHorrible hospitality. Took a midway drive break for dinner. Ordered soup, Tandoori Mushrooms & Surmai Fish Thali. The Tandoori mushrooms arrived after 45 mins of ordering (the server had definitely missed the order) and once they did, they were excessively spicy. Since hunger was at its peak, I ate two mushroom pieces trying to ease the chilli component by having the capsicum and onion pieces but eventually gave up when I got tears and a runny nose due to the inadequate proportions of chilli used in it. I’m a person who likes to bite into a green chilli while having my meals (so my tolerance level is just fine) but this was over the top hot and caused chest burning sensation. Even though I was hungry I had to get up without eating, gulping down a bottle of Thumbs up to ease the torture. I reported the matter to the manager who instead of tending an alternative mild/normal spiced replacement, just said “Sorry” and went ahead with billing me for this uneaten dish. Problem is not paying for it, but if one is in the hospitality sector, then there some basic etiquette’s to be followed. There were no single or double chilli signs in front of the dish to describe the spice quotient. The server did not describe the dish as being extra hot while it was being ordered and finally if the customer could not eat the dish and was leaving hungry, then they should have accepted their mistake and replaced the dish. Hugely disappointed with the...
Read moreI am writing to express my extreme disappointment with the service I received at GOMANTAK FAMILY RESTAURANT on December 22, 2024.
Upon arrival, I was asked to wait for 10-15 minutes for a table. However, it took over an hour before we were finally seated. To make matters worse, our food plates were placed on another table by a different waiter. I also had to constantly flag down a waiter just to place my order. Another customer was then asked to sit at our table by the waiter, completely disregarding the fact that I was there with my family. This lack of organization and professionalism was truly disgusting.
Furthermore, it took an additional 45 minutes for our food to be served. When my order of Chicken Kolhapuri, but I had been served regular handi and the butter nan I requested was substituted with regular nan instead. It was clear that the staff at GOMANTAK FAMILY RESTAURANT are completely incompetent and unable to properly manage the restaurant.
Overall, my experience at GOMANTAK FAMILY RESTAURANT was unacceptable. I will not be returning to GOMANTAK FAMILY RESTAURANT, and I will be sure to share my negative experience...
