This is a very good restaurant and very good food. 5 Stars considering everything... bathrooms were clean & urine basins had a functional flush button. Taps were not leaking. They were fast to issue coupans and food serving was fast too... Snacks kitchens were comparatively very clean, cooks were wearing plastic caps. Staff guys were very courteous and divided for different tasks. This one guy who continuously starts announcing to customers as soon as they start walking in...he was a key person providing very good information to customers like bus will wait for 30 minutes, if need snacks this way or other way for dinner. go this way for khaman, vadapav, dhokla, fafda ,poha, missal pav etc and other way for kathiyawadi, gujarati, punjabi & southindian & was also guiding other staff..he was a multitasker. Its his JOB and he was doing it very very well. These guy are doing great job by providing good food, hygenic kitchens & toilets and dedicated & talented working staff. I ordered poha bataka and it was hot and tasted very good and was served in a snacks plate with a spoon & lemon. Had tea also although it wasn't a great one but it was good. Tea for 20 & poha for 40 & vada pav for 40 seems a little on ther higher side but I am okay with that coz poha & tea both were in good quantity, vada pav was good to coz they gave 2 pavs & 4 vadas(..am i seeming too chindi?)but that was worth the money & yes cleanliness+ courteous & talented people was all free..
...And i totally bet Nilgiri guys are benefitting hughly from their "free" services and not just they but even Eagle and other bus operators will get the benifit too...
...Learning from them that there is nothing wrong in doing your job right viz providing good food, maintaining cleanliness, behaving good and showing courtesy will bring in more customers and more money for everyone. So atleast there is no point of offering cheap food.
I will travel with Eagle Falcon bus service again & hope to stop by Nilgiri again and will be very Happy to get same services again with these same traits and better ones.
One Quick suggestion for Nilgiri guys :
The tour/bus operators should highlight your restaurant's name during booking on the websites and apps & use it to bag more customers. If the bus stops at nilgiri it will be good for customers...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of visiting Hotel Kathiyawadi Nilgiri at evening for Dinner and in Morning for Breakfast, and I must say it was a delightful experience in every way. Here are some key highlights from my visit:
The cleanliness of the establishment is remarkable, and it truly feels like a newly opened place. This attention to cleanliness immediately sets a positive tone for the entire experience.
The hotel is strategically located and seems to cater primarily to bus and four-wheeler travelers, which is great because it means that you won't find the hustle and bustle of trucks taking halt here. This creates a peaceful and tranquil environment.
Clean washrooms are a vital amenity for travelers, and Hotel Kathiyawadi Nilgiri certainly excels in this regard, providing a hygienic and comfortable experience.
The menu offers a diverse range of vegetarian dishes, breakfast items, cold drinks, and ice creams. Whether you're looking for a hearty meal or just a quick snack, they have something for everyone.
One standout feature of this hotel is the provision of a special table for patrons who prefer to enjoy their own food. This accommodating gesture shows an understanding of the diverse needs of their customers.
Ample seating space is available, ensuring that customers are comfortably accommodated. This is especially important for travelers who may need to take a break and relax.
What truly sets Hotel Kathiyawadi Nilgiri apart is its serene and natural atmosphere. It's a quiet place that offers respite from the chaos of the road. The clean, fresh air and the tranquil surroundings make for a pleasant dining experience.
In summary, Hotel Kathiyawadi Nilgiri is a hidden gem for travelers. It offers a clean and welcoming environment, a variety of food options, and a peaceful atmosphere that makes it the perfect place to take a break during a journey. Read moreThe Dak tadka is a must try with lots of Garlic and spices, it's the perfect companion for Tandoori roti.. Very proactive and sharp staff, always attending to the customers needs.. Place is clean, well taken care of.. they also serve 8 different types of pickle which was amazing to say the least.. Moreover, if you like any particular pickle, you can even buy it.. Talk about upselling in a great way! I'd recommend the sweet lemon pickle which is extraordinary and really out of this world. Amazing food, great staff and all in all, a very satisfied customer. A must visit just before crossing over to Mumbai from Gujarat. P.S. if you have the ear for it, they'd be happy to share the reason for the restaurants establishment so close to the Maha border. I'd recommend you ask them for it, yourself and let me not spoil it for you! Furthermore, the restaurant is very cost effective, the food is extremely cheap for the quality that they offer and they have a mix of multiple cuisines including South Indian food as well, which shouldn't come as a surprise considering their proximity to the Maha border. The crowd is very much family type and that also makes you feel comfortable and you will enjoy your lunching/dinner experience...
