Hotel Kokan Kinara ( Sea Food Special ) — Restaurant in Maharashtra

Been a regular here for the past 6 years, going there since a time when they were a small garden restaurant. Fantastic sea food. My favorites are Ola bombil fry, bangda fry, fish curry (bangda, surmai, rohu), indrayani rice. Do try the nagli papad. Never tried any veg food so I cannot comment on that, but I'm sure it's good as well, considering how crowded this place gets. They have a garden seating too. The owner is very down to earth and will ask you if you liked the food, how was the service etc. The food might be a little spicey for some, but I'm Marathi, and we're okay with it. But you can ask them to reduce the heat. We almost always get sea food from here, if we have the time. The prices are super economical too.

Very excellent taste!!! If you are from Konkan, you will like the taste. And if you are non-Konkani then it will be a new taste for them. Must try wet bombil (Bombay Duck) Fry dish. It's tasty. And also Indrayani rice it's much tastier. And the ambience is also good. It's ok for bringing children. They will also like the taste. Trust me I have gone to every seafood restaurant in Pune, like from 5 star to 2 star but I didn't get the Konkani taste, sometimes fish would be old and smelly or the taste was not good. When there is crowd they fail to attend customers properly and taste of the food becomes badder and badder. Even they focus more on parcel orders coming from Zomato and other apps. Dont attend in-house customers properly. Very very bad experience. Even when we reported it to reception while paying he just mentioned it happens sometimes and has no courtesy to say sorry and immediately was eager to take next payment.
