If you want to taste real authentic kokani food then this is the place for you. I have dined at this place 4 times and every time the quality and taste of the items served were great. Mainly I tried the fish and prawns related dishes and all were too good. Generally all hotels prepare one curry as a base and dip in it steamed fish that you have ordered for. Here every type of fish has different curry prepared and cooked separately. Fried fish is not too soft not too hard and it is cooked properly. Less oil is used. Rice served was like the way you cook at home without soda. Overall healthy cooking.

The owner of the property Mr Ahire I interacted with is a jovial person and he will try to accomodate the food related requests. The ambience of the place is not that fancy. It takes time for food to get preapred. But keep in mind the food that gets served fast at other places is cooked many hours before and may not taste that great.

Very few times have I come across an eatery with good recommendations and found it to have exceeded expectations. We were on our way from Ratnagiri to Malvan and wanted to have lunch before we set off on the journey. A Google search gave Hotel Kokani as a suggestion and we decided to give it a try. It's an unassuming place tucked away in a small building but the food is excellent. Me with my five friends were returning to Vadodara from Goa at a time when the boarding facility was being closed in train in this difficult time, Owner of Kokani Angan Suresh Bhai arranged the meals for all of us. This shows his generous and loving nature. In addition to food, he also arranged disposable utensil for us. Talking about the food, he made very good and delicious chicken and also arranged beautiful chapatis, rice, salad and famous kadhi of Ratnagiri.
