Its a must stop place for travellers coming down from Amboli ghat and going towards Goa, Vengurla or Malvan, especially for the ones who are travelling early mornings. Most of my journies i have stopped by Hotel Savali to have refreshing morning tea and lite breakfast. You get amazingly good Idli chutney, Dosa, uttapam, Pohe and Upma for breakfast at Hotel Savali. The hotel is situated at a strategic location on the way towards Sawantwadi so can hardly miss it. The entire hotel property is kept well and the toilets are clean, so if you are travelling with family, without a doubt you can stop here. Well apart from the food offered they have a seperate counter for Mango pulp, lovely pickles, dry dahi chilies and stuffed chilies, different varienties of home made papads, special kombdi wada flour etc these all are good and i take home a few items everytime. My experince about this place has never changed for so many years i have paid...
Read moreIt seems that whatever small success has earned has got into the heads of the Owner. It was my frequent stop on Amboli-Sawantwadi road since years. Visited this with family on Dec. 29, 2024 @ 11am. When we entered, we were shocked to see that tables were joined together for bigger groups and there was Absolutely NO ONE to guide where to seat for a group of 3-4 people. Small tables were occupied by individual single person. The waiters expect you to seat beside them?? What the hell?? There is something known as PRIVACY. You expect to seat with unknown person??
Tables used by others were left uncleaned. As one says... "It is easy to reach on top but difficult to retain that position" (Though The restaurant haven't reached at top yet.. Its downfall has started)
WE LEFT IMMEDIATELY.. AND FOUND A GEM NAMED "HOTEL SWAGAT" in AMBOLI.. Food (though Limited dishes), Service and Value for money.. All...
Read moreA good restaurant on the way to Goa or Kokan while youe are traveling from Kolhapur or Amboli. This place has amused me with great parking space, clean toilets and sumptous food. We were halted for lunch and ordered Kaju masala, shev bhaji and Akkha masoor. All disehs were good in portion and tasty. I loved the Kaju masala. They also have separate family room. Table service was wuick and the guy who served food was very humble. We asked for Bhakri and he asked his chef to make it for our table. However the other tables were served chapati. In the drinks we ordered solkadhi, buttermilk and fresh lime soda. The solkadhi was spicier than the expectations but fresh lime soda and buttermilk was good. If you are hlting here for lunch then I recommend fresh lime soda is must have to...
