INDIFOOD CULTURE - Vithal Kamat — Restaurant in Maharashtra

The overall quality of Vitthal Kamat has deteriorated. I have been visiting Vitthal Kamat for over a decade and they never gave a chance to complaint on their quality of food.

Off late I have witnessed very poor quality of service and food at more than one outlet in and around Pune.

I had visited this outlet on Tuesday 14th June, 2022. Had ordered their running item, i.e. Idly-Wada-Sambhar and Plain Dosa only to find a fly cooked with the Dosa ordered for my 7 year old Daughter. She had already had 1/4th of the Dosa after which we spotted the fly. On complaining about the same to the staff, we could see them shouting to their kitchen staff, but I thought that was just to appease us and nothing more.

I have decided never ever to visit Vitthal Kamat again. If the current owners of Vitthal Kamat gets an opportunity to read this, then here are a few suggestions for improvement: Review and reengineer your cooking process. Have a core team taste the food and do a visual inspection of the cooked food. Institutionalise a check-list process for your staff such that they know what to check before delivering the food to a Customer. Release a customer charter of rights so that the customer knows that you are still committed to serving quality food at economical...

Looking at Vitthal Kamat board we had high expectations in terms of service, quality, cleanliness and hygiene but alas it is much below the expectation or even the industry benchmark. It is sad for me to give low rating for a good and brand of good repute.

The Punjabi subji and roti was ready in a snap, less than 10 minutes but bhakari pithala and Brinjal subji took like eternity.....more than 25 minutes!..... there's is disclaimer on the menu card that order will take min 20 minutes for prep., but surely it was much longer than expected. Taste was good but portions were too small....forget about sharing it wasn't adequate for two bhakaris and rice as well.....the manager apologised for the delay (good 50 minutes spent) but he said for less food portion we could have asked for more!..... really? .... is it not that the food portion should be adequate for an average person's appetite?

Washrooms are not to Vitthal Kamat...

Worst place to have a hault for snacks. Overpriced Compromised food quality Worst service* Vitthal Kamat stall is just for the name sake, no quality served. The food served was stale and manager quickly accepted the mistake before I escalated it. Would recommend to Vitthal Kamat to keep a eye on such places before their name goes bad. I ordered a masala dosa and Mysore masala dosa. The cook smelled the potato stuffing and then put it in the dosa and to my surprise the potato stuffing had gone stale, When I raised the issue the manager quickly came and refunded the money but we had to travel till Pune empty stomach. I asked for a coffee without sugar and without paying attention the cook gave me a very sweet coffee and I had to fight again for my coffee. Pathetic place to stop but I guess MSRTC gets a hefty amount to look the other way.. Never stop...
