Khushboo Dhaba — Restaurant in Maharashtra

I enquired a lot about the eating places on pune banglore highway (NH4) near karad and the got to know about this place from most of the people. Hence I decided to go there for lunch. This place is situated on karad chiplun road near near karad and is very well-known. It is situated next to Karad Airport which serves as a landmark. Akkha Masura in veg and Typical Kolhapuri nonveg food is the specialty of this hotel. I ordered a Special Mutton Thali which consisted of a dish of red hot mutton, a bowl of tambda rassa (red curry), a bowl of pandhra rassa (white curry), a bowl of kheema, hot and fresh Bhakari's and Pulav Rice. All the items were delicious and especially, the mutton and the Tambda rassa were awesome. The hospitality was really nice. This would have been the best mutton thali I would have ever had. Again, if you visit Karad and don’t go to this place for lunch, you are really missing a great treat. So a must go...

Pathetic quality of food and service. Me and my family have been visiting this place since last 20 years. We used to travel from Satara for 50nkms especially to have food at this place. Today I visited it after around 3 years, they have made the place bigger with a very nice ambience and seating arrangement but the food quality and service has gone to dust. To start with the waiter that attended us was least interested in getting an order from us. When we repeatedly asked him, he took our order as if he was doing us a big favour or as if he was letting us eat for free. After 40 mins we received our order and that too the mutton rassa, sukka was cold, then again he replaced it with hot food. We had ordered for mineral water and a cold drink which again we got it after a loooong time. The owner who built this place from scratch needs to intervene and bring back the old charm of this place or else the future of this place...

I had an extremely unpleasant experience at this hotel. The staff was inattentive, unprofessional, and unresponsive—basic services like housekeeping and room assistance were either delayed or completely neglected. The reception desk was often empty, and no one seemed accountable for guest concerns.

What was most disappointing was the food quality, which is heavily hyped on social media—but in reality, it was the complete opposite. Meals were bland, served cold, poorly presented, and lacked hygiene. The dining area was not well-maintained, and the limited menu did not justify the prices.

Overall, this hotel is a classic case of style over substance. While their online presence may look appealing, the actual experience is far below acceptable standards. I would strongly advise others to avoid this place and look for genuinely well-reviewed...
