It was the worst experience, I had at any “MANAS” outlets. I had went to their “Satara-Sajjangad road” outlet. And it was satisfactory. So on that context I went to this restaurant. I was not just disappointed, it was one of the worst experiences in such a renowned restaurants. It was 7th March 2022, I skipped all the restaurants in Satara city to reach and have dinner here. But that was a mistake. The wait time was too much, not because the crowd was more, but because the staff management was worst. I had to suggest the staff for the empty table which I could see from afar. After waiting and getting a table they took almost 15 minutes just to present the menu card. Half the staff working here doesn’t know about authentic Maharashtrian cuisine, leave aside kolhapuri cuisine., so when asked upon the staff was completely in Dismay. I had to educate him there. The prices are too high. I had ordered Manas Special mutton thali. Which enlisted “Mutton lonche (mutton pickle). Which was for whopping 470₹ ONLY with GST excluded of course! Mutton pickle in kolhapuri meal is a dish in a thali as I know it better as I am from kolhapur, when I received my order, I didn’t find the said “mutton lonche”, so upon asking he showed me a pea sized amount behind the rassa bowl. Which was a joke in itself, I could not even make out if it was a spillage or a serving as the waiters were enough impolite to thump the thali in front of me, spilling the rassa in my plate. The quality of the mutton was semi cooked, too much semi cooked coconut gravy. Mutton quality was of question and of course it was exactly opposite of tender. Being a guy from kolhapur, I am proud of kolhapuri food, so of course I am proud of “Tambda-Pandhara Rassa”, and I know my food. Both the rassa they served were nowhere near of it. “Tambda rassa” didn’t had even half amount mutton stalk, so it was watery. No consistency maintained. And to make it red lots of red chili powder was used. “Pandhara rassa” was not any different, same story, lack of mutton stalk. Only too much coconut milk to make it look white. Had to wait for every next serving of rassa and salad, At the end the rice they served was also semi cooked and took almost 15 minutes to serve us, even being part of the thali.
Pls refrain from such things, And if you dine in this restaurant by any chance, pls raise voice if things are not upto the mark.
And restaurant should pls take actions against the said points. Mainly over the hospitality and management! Just having a good infrastructure is not gonna keep the name.
I really liked the courteous staff of “satara-sajjangad road MANAS” (and food was not best, but at least better than this outlet), pls try to maintain at least that standard here, let alone be...
