If you’re craving authentic Punjabi cuisine with a hearty, flavorful twist, it is the ultimate destination! I recently visited this gem of a place, and I must say, it was an experience worth every penny. From the rustic ambiance to the mouthwatering dishes, Rana Punjabi Dhaba delivers on all fronts.
Ambiance
The dhaba’s traditional setup is charming and adds to the authentic Punjabi experience. The seating is comfortable, and the open, welcoming vibe makes it perfect for families, friends, and even solo diners. The colorful decor and earthy tones give the place a warm and vibrant feel, reminiscent of highway dhabas in Punjab.
Food
The food is the star of the show! Every dish bursts with rich flavors and is cooked to perfection. I tried their signature Butter Chicken, and it was hands-down one of the best I’ve had—creamy, flavorful, and paired perfectly with their soft, buttery naan. The Sarson da Saag and Makki di Roti were authentic and took me straight to Punjab with every bite.
For vegetarians, their Paneer Tikka Masala and Dal Makhani are must-tries—rich, aromatic, and full of flavor. The portions are generous, ensuring you leave fully satisfied.
Service
The service was quick, efficient, and always accompanied by a friendly smile. The staff was attentive and eager to recommend dishes, ensuring we had a fantastic dining experience. It’s evident that they genuinely care about customer satisfaction.
Value for Money
Rana Punjabi Dhaba offers great value for money. The quality, quantity, and authenticity of the food make it worth every rupee. Whether you’re in the mood for a quick bite or a leisurely meal, you’ll leave feeling happy and full.

Read moreThank you to Rana Punjabi Dhaba Team ( Amravati Road - 30 KMS from Nagpur - on left 8-9 KMS after you pay toll. ) for providing us excellent customer service last evening. We were crazy bunch of sixteen - 6 kids and adults, equally hyper. Relatives from Mumbai wanted to eat at a dhaba! So we drive to Rana Punjabi Dhaba - 30 KM from Nagpur on Amravati Road post paying toll. We all left happy and relaxed. The staff patientlly listened and helped us out. We were a tough crowd. Thanks to host Aniesh/ Yogita Rana:
It was a complete surprise package - a real dhaba ambience little away from the city. Ever since I returned back to Nagpur, I noticed the new commercial dhabas on Wardha and Kamptee road, which seemed little bit too sophisticated for a Dhaba to me . I missed that daal, tandoori chicken and roti I had on weekend sitting in a car somewhere far from home on a highway. Of course, that "khatiya" as well, a must at a Dhaba smile emoticon So you would not really spot a real truck driver here, but it does have that same ambience which you expect in a highway dhaba. Star dish - Hara bhara kabob, Tandoori Chicken and Daal. Yummy yummy. Bhuna mutton was nice as well and they made some special punabi paneer gravy which was cherished by us all. Service is good, prices decent and if weather is good you have hit a jack pot! This is just authentic dhaba kinda place - so expect authentic punjabi flavors. Not the place for saoji. They have a huge open place and our kids were running around and just being goofy without disturbing other clientele. This is BYOB, very economical, so take your booze and enjoy. We had plenty of family crowd around us and we felt very comfortable and safe. I made it a point to visit there kitchen( uninvited ) and I did my own eye audit - it seemed pretty clean and I noticed folks making sure they don't touch a roti before it goes on serving plate. A fun dhaba trip...

I visited the place in day time. Not so welcoming staff. All staff were busy in their own activity unless asked whether it is open or close. Anyways Manager/Captain doesn't know the Dhaba's Speciality Dishes or doesn't give any recommendations to try if you are 1st time visitors. Even if asked he suggests we cook everything you order from menu... (yes we know you can cook thats why you added that dish in yo Menu)... Anyways ... I ordered food by then checking online reviews and recommendations...1) Chicken Tandoor (Starter) 2) Dhaba chicken (Main course) 3) Butter Garlic Naan & Butter Roti ... Food was licious than expected but serving things- plates, bowls weren't properly cleaned. Service was bit slow even if there wasn't any other customers around (If the slow service remains still in night time then this might unnecessarily adds customer waiting time) After finishing food when called for bill & Card swipe machine then the waiter started giving reasons- machine not working, machine isn't charged, No network at hotel ( perticular reason's a local hotelier gives to avoid 2% tranfer charges of swipe machine bank ) so he asked to transfer by Uti payment mode. ( swipe machine is always a better option if upi payments bank and debit/credit cards of different banks and your Upi payment account doesn't have sufficient balances). Washrooms found cleanly maintained (atleast by the time I visited, not confirm about night time) Anyways the staff behaviour thus reduces overall...
