Went on Tuesday evening (23 Sept '25) around 5PM. Not crowded at that time. The quantity and the presentation was excellent. It was like make your own misal. They provide all the items and I could add how much and what much I wanted - completely customisable. I didn't add the provided tarri at all. When I started eating, I felt that it was a mild misal. By the time I was about to finish, I was sweating and water ran down my nose. It wasn't unbearable spicy and fiery. It was just what a misal should take like. Very enjoyable. The staff was in a good mood. Friendly people. Sabudana wada was also quite tasty. When a deep fried dish appears to be free of oil, it takes some excellent frying skills. Worth visiting when in the area. Worth even making a special trip when in the mood of some exceptional misal.

Excellent taste. Normal misal is also spicy (enjoyable) and very uniq taste. They also give spiciest tarri for those who enjoy spicier version. Kothimbir Vadi is also must try here. Many tables are there. They accept cash and UPI. Staff is helpful. Some parking is there ... A must try place for misal lovers. Just 2 mins away on old Pune Mumbai highway just near Somatane toll

The quality of the misal was not up to the previous standard. The rassa was not served hot, and the plates and spoons were not cleaned properly. I requested a replacement spoon, but unfortunately, the second one was also unclean. I hope these issues can be addressed to maintain the hygiene and quality standards.

Rupesh Misal, located in Somatane Phata near Pune, is a popular spot for misal pav enthusiasts. Misal pav is a traditional Maharashtrian dish consisting of a spicy curry made from sprouted lentils, paired with bread rolls. Here’s a detailed review based on various aspects of the dining experience at Rupesh Misal:

Ambiance The ambiance at Rupesh Misal is fairly basic but functional. The eatery typically has a simple setup with modest seating arrangements. It’s more about quick bites than a fine dining experience. The focus is on comfort and efficiency, catering to a variety of customers from locals to travelers.

Food Quality Misal Pav: The star of the show at Rupesh Misal is, undoubtedly, the misal pav. The dish is known for its spicy, flavorful curry, which is both tangy and rich. The misal has a good balance of spices and heat, making it a favorite among those who enjoy a bit of kick in their food. The curry is often garnished with onions, coriander, and farsan (crunchy snack mix), which adds texture and additional layers of flavor.

Pav: The bread rolls served alongside the misal are fresh and soft, complementing the spicy curry well. They are lightly toasted and perfect for dipping into the curry.

Additional Offerings: Apart from misal pav, the eatery usually offers a range of other Maharashtrian snacks and meals. The quality of these items tends to be consistent, though the focus remains largely on the misal pav.

Service The service at Rupesh Misal is generally efficient and prompt. Given that it is a popular spot, especially during peak hours, the staff is accustomed to handling a high volume of customers quickly. They are usually courteous and attentive, ensuring that orders are served hot and promptly.

Hygiene and Cleanliness In terms of hygiene, Rupesh Misal maintains a standard that is acceptable for a local eatery. The dining area is kept clean, though it might not always be pristine. The focus is more on food quality and taste rather than on high-end cleanliness.

Pricing The pricing at Rupesh Misal is quite reasonable, making it an affordable option for a wide range of customers. The value for money is notable, especially considering the generous portions and the quality of the misal pav.

Overall Experience Rupesh Misal in Somatane Phata is a go-to place for those craving authentic, spicy misal pav. It’s a place where the food quality and taste are the primary attractions. While the ambiance and decor may be simple, the hearty and flavorful misal pav makes up for it. It’s an excellent spot for a quick, satisfying meal at a...

Visiting Rupesh Misal near Somatane Phata was a true misal-lover’s delight. Known for its authentic Maharashtrian flavors, this place had been on my list for a while, and it definitely lived up to its reputation.

The moment I arrived, the no-frills, classic misal joint vibe set the tone for what was about to be a flavorful experience. The seating was simple, but the place was clean and bustling with locals—always a good sign for great food. The aroma of spices filled the air, instantly making me crave a hot plate of their famous misal pav.

When the misal arrived, it looked just as tempting as I had imagined. The rassa (gravy) was fiery and packed with bold flavors, giving it that signature spicy kick. What stood out for me was the balance of flavors—it wasn’t just about the heat, but also the depth of spices and the richness of the curry. The pav was fresh, soft, and perfectly buttered, making it the ideal companion to soak up all that goodness.

One thing I appreciated was that they served curd alongside the misal, which helped tone down the spice when needed. It’s a small but thoughtful touch that makes the experience enjoyable even for those who may not prefer extreme spice.

The service was quick and efficient, ensuring that I got my food piping hot. The staff was friendly and welcoming, adding to the overall positive experience.

For anyone who loves a spicy, flavorful, and authentic misal experience, Rupesh Misal is a must-visit. If you can handle the heat, go all in with their extra spicy rassa—it’s the kind of misal that leaves a...

Rupesh Misal in Talegaon Dabhade is renowned for its signature dialogue "संपला विषय," creating an aura of anticipation and expectation among its patrons. However, the actual culinary experience falls short of the hype.

The misal served at Rupesh Misal fails to leave a lasting impression. Despite its fame, the flavors lack depth and authenticity. The spice blend feels generic, lacking the nuanced richness expected from a place with such a reputation. While the misal is edible, it doesn't evoke the wow factor that one would expect from a renowned eatery.

Where Rupesh Misal shines is in its ambience. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, with a rustic charm that transports diners to a bygone era. The seating arrangements are comfortable, and the decor adds a nostalgic touch, making it a pleasant place to spend time with friends and family.

The service at Rupesh Misal is average. While the staff is courteous, there are occasional lapses in attentiveness and speed, which can detract from the overall dining experience.

In terms of value for money, Rupesh Misal falls on the higher side. The prices are not justified by the taste and quality of the food served, making it a less appealing choice for budget-conscious diners.

Rupesh Misal may draw customers with its catchy dialogue and charming ambience, but it ultimately disappoints in delivering a memorable culinary experience. While it's worth visiting for the ambience alone, those seeking exceptional taste and flavor may want to explore other options...
