Ok first things first. This is a very basic food outlet. It's being run by a family. Very courteous people. The young man over there knows a lot about local trekking & Hiking trails. Please do have a conversation with him, he can be an excellent source of information for the local vicinity. Trust me, you will be surprised. Food is good enough (homemade). They don't have much options though. Since they make the preparations once you order so might take some time. Use that time to walk around the property. They have good scenic view points as well. They add a lot of sugar in tea, so it would be better if you tell them before hand about it. Prices are quite decent. They take only cash. Edit after visit on 4 Feb 23. Place has uplifted itself to a well setup restaurant, we tried their breakfast and it was delicious. They started south indian menu as well which is plus. Washroom are clean, parking is spacious, charges are reasonable. This would be my go to place every time I will pass Tamhini now.
Old review: Unexpectedly delicious breakfast. Though the setup is average, food quality is very good. We ordered Poha, Shira, Upma, Misal, Omlet and all items were freshly cooked, tasty and quality. All things are costly as compared to other hotels. We ordered chicken Thali which was limited and costing 200 Rs... Chicken was just okay and after asking for more gravy they gave thin one (looks like added water to increase quantity)
For morning bk fast we told him to keep it ready by 6 am and he promised to keep it ready, but actually he delivered it 1.5 hours late, so we wasted our time.
Rude and useless owner...
