Samudra Resort — Restaurant in Maharashtra

We, a group of 7 people went here for New years celebration 2018-2019. The rooms were neat and tidy just as shown in the pictures. We booked 2 rooms. The staff was very helpful and saw to it that the needs were fulfilled in time. The resort has an interesting terrace. Usually they have a chair table arrangement but we had them removed and sat on carpets. We booked it directly after having a word with the owner and transferred half the amount. The latter half was given during checkout. The beach is super near (a min walk) you can see if from the terrace. (Not the tarkarli main beach ofcourse, u'll have to book an MTDC resort for the same). Food options can be limited since its not a professional but a homely kitchen. We had most dinners outside( MTDC is an option if you want to have Mughlai sabjis) Interesting fact : On 31st we didn't want to go out for dinner hence we got some parcel and the staff provided us with plates ( note the courtesy). We stayed on 14 & 15 January in Seaview Palace, just in front of Samudra Resort. The caretakers of both hotels are the same, i.e. Milind Parulekar, his wife Vidya & his mother. Vidya & her mother in law can cook all the food for you. We got the best sea food here, specially the Surmai Fry was awesome. We also tried Paplet, Prawns, Bangda, Chicken & Mutton. That was also delicious. In breakfast, we ate Ghavne Chutney, Kandepohe, Amboli Chutney & Omlet. That was also very good. Solkadhi was also tasty. Both the ladies are good cook. They treated us as their family members. We had a good dialogues with them. The beautiful & clean Tarkarli beach is only 2 minutes walk from Samudra Resort. Excellent location just across the Tarkarli beach, Exceptional hospitality - mr sunil sawant (owner) went above and beyond to ensure that our every need was met and we were comfortable. Amazing food- the restaurant run by parulekar family serves tasty traditional receipies for breakfast and best seafood ever for lunch and dinner.
