Sunny Da Dhaba — Restaurant in Maharashtra

Hey!! It is with great regret that i have to inform you of a service failure. I experienced with your DHABA. The service was pathetic. I visited this restaurant with my family today. The staff weren't welcoming at all intially we noticed but may be we thought we are taking it in a wrong manner. The second thing after giving the dinning preference. I had to repeat same thing twice and wait for my request forever. Let me clarify it wasn't crowded at all there were hardly two other families sitting opposite to us. The waiter the managers were least bothered about the delayed. No apologies were extended. When they had to discuss something they would discuss about our order placed. They would discuss right in front of us. What kind of professionalism you carry guys. When i asked them to get the final check. The waiter din't even bother to ask me how was the food? Did everything go well? And it is unbelievable he had that audacity to ask me about the TIP LOL . When i told him that your service was poor . Instead of doing service recovery he said " koi baath nai" you guys must be wondering why am i writing such a long feedback. What would you expect after paying 3500 and what all i am receiving is rude behavior, poor service , staff laziness etc. The washroom was pathetic. The pictures are attached. I would strongly recommend do not visit this stupid dhaba where people aren't friendly and approachable towars...

After year again visited.. well known sunny da dhabha.. I have reduced one ⭐, as this time around staters was too dry and no teste at all, it was chicken banjara tikka, very dry and no masala at all .. it was really not good.. below avarage.. however main course was good .. just loved it.. both veg and non-veg ..dal khichadi was good too..

Best for sure. If you like punjabi dhaba style food.. Sure you will love it..

Ambiance : good and huge seating area.. Huge parking space, and huge air cooler to keep you cool in this hot summer.. Kids will have playing area with some adventure activity and temple for oldies..

Service : good quick service even though they have huge seating space.. Liked it. Also best thing is that captain know their own menu.. So they can suggest you as per taste..

Food : super mouth watering taste.. Had both veg and non veg items.. Had chicken sholey handi, chicken tava bhuna both super tendor chicken.. And typical punjabi taste.. Loved it.. Also had veg hara bhara masala.. Super thick spicy veg tikka masala main course.. Love roti thick soft slight crispy.. Also had dal tadaka and jeera rice.. Again good taste.. 😛👍

Yes bit on costlier side.. But still worth a visit if you are coming to lonavala..

Sunny da Dhaba is a Dhaba with a twist. When we think of a dhabha we think about a highway restaurant but this one is more of a lounge situated on a national highway. The ambience is amazing and has appealing looks, they have multiple table arrangements for small families to large groups with modern cots and chairs. One special thing about this place is that they serve you sweet curd cucumber/coleslaw, variety of pickles, onion salad and pudina chutney while you wait for your order without any additional charge (Just like North Indian style dhabas). They have a small garden and play area for kids and also a paan shop for paan lovers. Now coming to the most important point, quantity, quality and cost of food. They serve alcoholic drinks as well and the cost is quite high just like any lounge in metro cities. Food quantity is good for a couple with an average diet if one dish is ordered. Quality and hygiene is very high as compared to local dhabas, washrooms are very well maintained and clean like multiplexes. The cost of food is on the higher side, a small family with 2 kids can generate a bill around 2000 - 2500 without including alcoholic drinks. Overall this is a very good lounge named as a Dhaba...
