Located in Khandala, Maharashtra, The Farmers Kitchen offers a delightful escape with its beautiful garden and breathtaking mountain landscape.
The restaurant's upkeep is commendable, particularly during the monsoon season. The staff ensures that the premises, including the floors and washrooms, are clean and well-maintained. However, I encountered an issue with the washroom as there was a persistent leakage that left the floor wet, making it inconvenient to use without creating a mess. This is something that definitely needs to be addressed.
When it comes to food, The Farmers Kitchen excels with a wide array of both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options. I had the pleasure of trying their famous Puran Poli, a traditional Maharashtrian delicacy, prepared with pure ghee. It was absolutely delicious, freshly made, and served hot.
Given the monsoon season, I couldn't resist ordering Onion Pakodas. They were fantastic in taste, but extremely spicy. It's essential to inform the staff if you prefer a milder version, as my order was packed with green chillies. While the spiciness was overwhelming, the overall flavor was superb, and the staff took my feedback graciously.
Despite the minor hiccup with the washroom and the spiciness of the pakodas, my experience at The Farmers Kitchen was positive. The staff is incredibly polite and attentive, ensuring that all guests feel welcome and cared for.
The Farmers Kitchen is highly recommended. Just remember to specify your spice preferences when ordering, and hopefully, the washroom issue will be...

There's a rationale for the price point or variety of items in a thali. For 250 + gst the expectation is more. It will only help your business if you give this a rethink and enhance the VFM for a customer. 🙏
Review: 09-Apr-2023 - The place looks new, is spacious and has a large compound for parking, washroom facilities etc. Looks clean too. We tried the gavran thaali containing one bhakri, varan, thecha, selection of one vegetable dish, rice and pickle. Vegetable, we selected matki ussal in one thaali and bharlivangi (stuffed brinjal) in the other. Excellent Taste and presentation - more like good home cooked food. But the downer is that it's too expensive at 250 per thaali. The portion is adequate and it's very well good for one. Either it should be priced at about 150 or they should make it all you can eat for the price. One more suggestion is to include curds...
