We made a pit stop at The Plate for lunch during a road trip and were blown away by the incredible dining experience! The food, ambience, service, price point and location are all top notch. I would rate the overall experience a 10/10.
Food: The menu is so extensive with delicious options for everyone on the table. We tried the Focaccia Cheese Chilli Toast, Tawa Paneer Masala, Garlic Naan, Peri Peri Fries and Smoked Dal Makhani. Each dish was so good that it was hard to pick a favourite. For a vegetarian foodie this menu is a DREAM! There are still so many items that I want to try on the menu. Will definitely be back soon.
Ambience: The restaurant is so well made. It overlooks a beautiful green golf course. The seating is comfortable and very homey.
Location: The restaurant is a short detour from the Mumbai Pune expressway in Karjat. The location is super convenient for a quick lunch or dinner pitstop while on a road-trip.
Service: We were seated with 5 minutes of arrival. The staff was so kind and courteous. The food items arrived quickly and our table was always well attended.
Price Point: Based on our incredible experience we expected the price to be higher than the usual dining experience on a road-trip. However to our surprise the price point was perfect. It was such an excellent lunch within budget.
I highly recommend going to The Plate. I certainly cannot wait to...
Read moreStumbled across this place while driving by and since we were starving, decided to walk right in and hope for a table on a busy weekend. Luckily for us, the place was spacious and had ample seating. We were attended to immediately without having to wait around and the staff was extremely polite and courteous from the get go. Despite 2 of us being hard core non vegetarians (who were not in favour of eating at an an all veg place but got convinced by the rest) the food was enjoyed equally by all and not once did we miss non veg. While the paneer masallan, the kofta curry, all the breads - especially the cheese garlic naan and the desserts were great , what blew our mind was how good the Kaali daal was. It was on par with some of the best we’ve had in Bombay and Delhi. No jokes. The mocktails that we tried were absolutely refreshing and perfect for the what and they have a wide variety of interesting options in those as well. They had a small cafe and a store next door too, serving as a one stop solution for everyone. Also hygiene is top notch, the place and the food, feels clean. There’s also continental and South Indian, apart from North Indian. The parking is convenient and the view is fab. Definitely worth a visit. Infact worth...
Read moreA tasty expensive affair should be the apt title for this review This place is another restaurant of the Oleander farms. The restaurant has a lovely view overlooking the golf course. The restaurant is heavily crowded on weekends so try to visit on weekdays to have a relaxed dining experience. They don't have a very big menu so you don't have many options to choose from. We ordered Alu Jeera and Paneer Musallum for the mains alkng with Garlic Naan, Plain roti and Ghee chatpati. The alu jeera was made on a special request to cater for kids requirement. So the Alu jeera was perfect for kids rasty and not too spicy. Now to talk about the Paneer Musallum I should say this but it cost 650/- for this dish and the quantity is good enough for 2 people only. It basically had 4 slices of paneer sandwiched in it was a mix of mawa and dry fruits. So the paneer Musallum was good, tasty but did not justify the pricing. The perfect company for the paneer dish was the garlic naan which had 3 portions and tasted lovely. Special mention for the Head Chef Mandeep Singh and server Preetam Srivastav. To sum up this place is the only place as you enter Karjat which has a good view and the food felt...
