Tranquil Restaurant & Artisan Kitchen — Restaurant in Maharashtra

Had lunch at Tranquil this weekend. It’s just a couple of hundred meters from Imagica so great location. As most of the reviews have noted the ambiance and decor is simple, inviting and quite pleasant. However, presently, there’s construction activity on the adjacent site and that makes sitting in the outdoor section rather uncomfortable in the day. It is also warm and dusty outdoors in summer days, despite the healthy tree cover. The indoor section is quite small and there was a large group when we visited so it was extremely loud. The staff was polite, friendly and attentive. The only complaint is that we had a booking at noon but they were still setting up. The food was the biggest disappointment at Tranquil. The Margherita pizza was drenched in oil. The chicken tikka pizza was a bit better but the chicken was dry and chewy. The kalimiri tikka was again just soaked in oil and didn’t have much flavour. Overall, Tranquil is most likely a better place than our mediocre experience suggests. It has all the right elements but I would recommend they pay a bit more attention to the food and have the place ready if they’re taking bookings.

P.S. Response to the owner’s reply. Thank you for your response, pointing out my typo and explaining to me what a Margherita pizza and chicken tikka is. Respectfully, it isn’t the first time we’ve eaten either and are aware of the difference between something being topped in oil and being drenched in it. We even pointed out the issue to the server. Likewise, I understand what tikkas are and how they’re made. There’s a difference between a succulent tikka where the fat moistens the meat and one where too much oil has been used to coat it. Extremely Disappointing Experience - Not Recommended for Families with Young Children

I had a very troubling experience at TRANQUIL and feel compelled to share it to warn other customers, especially those with young children.

Unsafe Parking: The restaurant has no proper parking assistance, and we had to park outside in an area with no lighting, tall grass, and a very unsafe environment—especially since it was nighttime. It was concerning to leave our car in such a risky area.

Poor Service: When we arrived, we were told by the owner that they couldn’t properly serve other customers because a politician was dining inside. This left only one server for more than 10 tables, causing long delays and terrible service. It’s unacceptable to prioritize certain customers over others.

Unhygienic Conditions - Insects in Water: The worst part of our experience was the water service. When we were given a bottle of water with glasses, we discovered that 3 out of the 5 glasses had insects in them. When we brought this to the owner's attention, he was not only unapologetic, but also became furious with us. He even told us that he wouldn’t serve us further. This was extremely concerning, especially since we were dining with young kids. The risk of contamination and health issues due to such poor hygiene is alarming, and no parent should have to worry about their children getting sick from something as basic as water.

As a parent, I cannot recommend this restaurant, especially to families with young children. The lack of hygiene, poor service, and overall unprofessional attitude of the staff made this a very disappointing experience. We left feeling unsafe and extremely dissatisfied.

This was one of the best dining experiences that I had. This place very close to Imagicaa. We were looking for a nearby option to have dinner and found this restaurant on Google.

The service at this restaurant was exceptional. The quality of food was awesome. We ordered vegetarian food, and it was very tasteful. The ambience is very nice.

The waiter who served us was very polite and helpful. To a surprise, they did not even accept a tip. This is the first time that I have seen someone not accepting a tip. They just said that you are happy and that is sufficient for us. After paying the bill I ordered an extra bottle of water since I had to drive down to Mumbai from Imagicaa. He did not even take any money for the bottle of water given to us. He just said it is from their side since we have to travel and we are happy.

We really did not expect such an excellent service and excellent ambience and excellent food, and it was a total surprise package for us.

If you are coming from Lonavla to Mumbai, it falls just before the Toll Naka. We would definitely love to visit this place again, and again. It was a very memorable experience at Tranquil.

For pet lovers, they have adopted a lot of stray animals and they take care of them. I really wish the owners of this place. All the best in this newly opened restaurant. I wish there were more restaurants like this and all other restaurants should learn the hospitality from this restaurant.

I do not easily give five stars and I’m not easily convinced with the services, but this restaurant is just amazing. I highly recommend everyone to visit this place for dinner or lunch.
