I was really disappointed with my recent experience at Vithal Kamat restaurant in Pune. I had heard good things about the Shirdi, so I was expecting a great meal. However, I was very underwhelmed by the food, the service, and the overall atmosphere.
The food was bland and uninspired. I ordered the Masala Dosa, which is a popular dish, but it was dry and tasteless. The dosa was stale and thick. I also ordered the misal pav, which is another Maharashtrian dish, but it was also very bland. The vegetables were overcooked, and the spices were lacking.
The service was also very slow. I had to wait a long time for my food to arrive, and the waiter was very inattentive. He didn't even refill my water glass once.
The atmosphere of the restaurant was also very disappointing. It was dark and dingy, and the tables were very close together. It felt more like a roadside dhaba than a fine dining establishment.
Overall, I was very disappointed with my experience at Vithal Kamat restaurant. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.
Here are some specific things that I would like to see improved at Vithal Kamat:
The food needs to be more flavorful. The dishes should be cooked with more care and attention to detail. The service needs to be faster. The wait staff should be more attentive and responsive to customer needs. The atmosphere of the restaurant needs to be improved. The restaurant should be brighter and more spacious.
I hope that Vithal Kamat will take my feedback into consideration and make some improvements to their restaurant. I would love to give them another try if they can address the issues that I...
Β Β Β Read moreI visited Vithal Kamat Restaurant in Shirdi with my family last week, I have to say that I was disappointed with our dining experience. While the restaurant had some redeeming qualities, overall it did not live up to our expectations. The Vithal Kamat quality that we find on Mumbai-Bengaluru Highway is nowhere to be seen at this restaurant. Seems that they have just given franchise but did not ensure the quality.
One of the main issues we had was with the quality of the food. While there was a wide variety of dishes on offer, many of them seemed to be lacking in flavor or freshness. Some of the dishes we ordered were also overcooked or undercooked, which made them difficult to enjoy.
Another issue we had was with the service. While the staff members were polite and friendly, they seemed to be overworked and understaffed, which led to long wait times and delays in getting our food. We also had to repeatedly remind the staff about certain requests we had made, which was frustrating.
On the plus side, the restaurant was clean and well-maintained, with a pleasant ambiance. While the restaurant had some positives, the quality of the food and service left much to be desired.
If you are looking for having food on the highway while entering or exiting Shirdi, I would recommend exploring other options before settling on...

I am writing to express my deep disappointment and concern regarding a recent experience I had at Vithal Kamats Restaurant in Shirdi. On 21st January 2024, I visited the restaurant for lunch with my friends after visiting Sai Mandir, expecting a pleasant dining experience.
However, to our dismay, our meal was interrupted by an unpleasant and unsanitary discovery: we found a cockroach in our food (Pics attached)
When we alerted manager he said, 'Shall I give you another dish'
Ridiculous response.
As you can imagine, encountering such a sight not only ruined our appetite but also raised serious questions about the hygiene and cleanliness standards maintained in their kitchen. Not only is the presence of a cockroach in food a severe health hazard, but it also reflects poorly on the overall cleanliness and sanitation practices of the establishment.
Finding a cockroach in our meal not only tarnished our dining experience but also caused us great concern for the health and safety of other customers. This incident is completely unacceptable and goes against the basic expectations of a restaurant, especially one that prides itself on providing quality food and service.
Vithal Kamats should change their tag line of 'Aacha Hai. Sachha Hai'
Tip : NEVER GO TO...
