Whenever I'm traveling by highway and unsure about where to stop for a meal, Kamat Hotels is always my go-to choice. It's the kind of place you can rely on for a safe, satisfying dining experience, especially when you're in unfamiliar areas.

One of the reasons I prefer Kamat is because of their consistent focus on hygiene. The premises, including the restrooms, are always clean, which is a big plus when you're on the road. The service is also quick, allowing you to get back on your journey without much delay.

The food selection is another reason I stop by. They offer a wide variety of dishes, but my personal favorites are the Sambar, Medu Vada, sandwiches, and tea. The sambar is rich and flavorful, while the medu vada is crispy on the outside and soft on the inside—just the way I like it. Their tea is also a great way to refresh after hours on the road. I didn't like Vitthal Vada as it's just a tasty Vada poured into sweet curd topped with sev.

One downside, though, is that the breakfast items are only available for a limited time. I couldn't try all the options as they stop serving breakfast after noon. It's a bit disappointing when you're craving those items later in the day, but understandable given their menu structure.

Overall, Kamat Hotels never fail to deliver, and it's always a safe bet for a good meal when...

Very arrogant and 2pcs idli for 90rs

Idlis (2pcs) for 90Rs I can get those for 20 or 10Rs in Pune from a well known brand other than this. The idlis were good but somewhat very expensive for the dedicated price. Whereas misal pav is good and for a reasonable price for 105Rs

We asked them for a grilled sandwich later because we thought we would atleast get 4 or 3 idlis for 90rs but couldn't so we asked them, they said electricity isn't there so they won't make later we asked them about Dosa they replied No we said is there anything atleast for what we would come again here again they said just don't.

We had to later buy rice with some tadka orange gravy which costed 340 or 300 smth. It tasted ok.

One more thing : Vithal kamath is not good if you want the same taste from different branches they completely serve taste dishes. Like in this resto branch they served us with misal Farsan like regular and also shev which I did like about it but in other branch they did not and also did not serve any extra kat.

Wouldn't recommend you if you want the same taste ifnyou have been in different kamath.

But I have to admit the servers were very poliet and the shopkeeper inside the restraunt who owned a little science toys shop was...

Disgusting. Food. Prepacked Premixes and Retort Gravies are being uses across Kamats India Outlets . Please Be aware!!!! They use premixes for their Snack Items and for Lunch/Dinner they use Retort Gravies which are prepared months in advance in factories. This is hazardous for all the esteemed guests and patrons visiting this outlet named kamats Legacy Nariman Point , malad and Vashi. I know this and I guarantee my above mentioned findings as a regular guest of Kamats India - Vikram Kamats Hospitality LTD IPO BSE539659 across its whole different brands such as Vits Kamats Legacy Urban Dhaba Wah Mapwan Peeperfey by Kamats..This company is playing dastardly with the guest's life by using premixes as the Processed Foods in its preparations across the wider territories of Maharashtra Gujrat and Northern India, Noida, Gurgaon etc. Please do not visit these outlets as they use prepacked and processed premixes and Processed Prepacked Retort Gravies in their food preparations which are hazardous and life threatening to the lives of the patrons and guests visiting them by trademark kamats which is quite common and generic...

After a recent visit to Vitthal Kamat, I had the pleasure of savoring some classic South Indian dishes that truly lived up to their reputation. Here’s my take on the experience: Idli Sambhar: The Idli was soft, fluffy, and absolutely perfect – it had that melt-in-your-mouth texture, just like a good idli should. Paired with the sambhar and coconut chutney, it created the ideal balance of flavors. Poha: The poha was light yet packed with flavors. It was seasoned well with mustard seeds, curry leaves, and a hint of spice. Upma: The upma was another highlight of the meal. It had the perfect consistency, not too dry and not too mushy. The dish was aromatic with the flavors of ghee and mustard seeds, which really stood out. It was a satisfying dish. The restaurant’s take on South Indian cuisine was authentic, fresh, and full of flavor. The portions were generous, and the food was served piping hot. The ambiance was welcoming, and the staff were friendly and attentive. If you’re craving traditional South Indian comfort food, Vitthal Kamat is definitely worth a visit. I’ll be coming back for more!

You can never go wrong with any Vithal Kamat food outlet and this place at Satara right on the highway is yet another example of their quality standard maintain across their outlets. We ordered one Punjabi thali and one maharashtrian thali and it was more than enough for three of us even though we were very hungry. Their food is not loaded with garam masala or extra oil and that's what makes it very special. So try kokam sharbat at this place no matter at wat time of the day you are visiting. Nice car parking in shades and clean facilities are just the kind of service you expect from Vithal kamat.

Starting with food, we wanted to have a grilled sandwich but they replied saying there is a power cut so the grill won't be working. I found this very careless of them, as they have provided it in the menu card so they are supposed to serve that. They should be taking care of these situations without giving lame excuses. The service was very slow and we had to wait for so long, though there was not much of a crowd. The ambience looked pretty much dull and untidy.
