This time we three had a half hot pot dinner in Hot Pot, actually hot pot is a personalized meal, in this we (the customer)can cook by ourselves and in which the material and all the food stuff will be provided, such simmering pot of soup at the center of the table with various raw ingredients such as meat, seafood, vegetables, maggi , rice noodles in thin slices , spices, sea weeds, cooking utensils n gas burner we felt very special. Then we can retrieve the cooked food items from the pot. Thus we had our dinner and the tastes was really really great & delicious. 👍

If don't judge a book by its cover was a restaurant, than Hotpot would be one. The food was average compared to specialist Japanese restaurant, however I was impressed I could find such a restaurant in Imphal. The interior is excellent, I loved the outdoor bar and seating area. We ordered 2 platters and beer. Both the platter were good, and go well with beer. The service was great and they also allowed my pet to sit outside with me ... therefore Hotspots has a special place in my heart.. thanks to the staff for being kind to us.

Great place. Good food. Only wish the entire menu was available instead of a few. Plus there's a parlour right next to it. You literally have to just walk out of the door to access the shop next door. Although it isn't that near to cause any discomfort. I went and did my hair while waiting for my order. But the order came too quick and all I had waiting when I came back was this empty bowl and two stupidly grinning brothers.

We had a VERY BAD experience in this restaurant. We come in from Dubai to meet our family in Manipur. Seeing all the reviews we thought it'll be nice to give our family an authentic Japanese food experience as my wife and I are ardent Japanese food lovers....

A disclaimer that, we do not expect Dubai standards here, but with the least of standards we expected in Manipur, that itself seemed too much.

So we went there one evening, and one word to say , - DISAPPOINTED.

Detailing for ease: Ambience :- 2/10 No AC OR FANS!!! We were told 1 AC is not working and the other was out of order! No kidding!! So there was a bunch of us and other guests sitting in a large room with no ventilation what so ever!! The furniture was heavy and made awful noise when dragged and we cud not even have a normal conversation without yelling at each other!! and yes! The mosquitoes deserve a mention.

Service :- 1/10 We didn't get all we ordered. They didn't know most of the things we asked for. And it took soooo long to be delivered.

Food :- 1/10 Nothing close to Japanese!!! food was spicy. There was Manipur spice all over and the food was not at all Japanese! It was Manipuri all the way! Spicy and no ventilation just imagine the fury! The food was fine, but not Japanese and nothing close to what they advertise! If you can't be authentic at least do not lie to your customers!!

Staff :- 2/10 Most of the time you won't find anyone! And when you do, they have no idea what they are saying. Except for one lady, who actually asked us how the food was, to whom, we gave our feedback. She was always pleasant and took our response with a smile, which is the ONLY reason I'd give them a 2, else it'd be a definite 0.

WOULD NOT RECOMMEND IF U WANT TO HAVE JAPANESE...

I cannot blame myself as I went there despite reading the reviews online, I just had to experience it myself.

So we went there and as soon as we enter, we feel so hot but there were no fans, I saw 2 AC in different area but one could not feel the cooling effect even after sitting there for quite sometime.

I called out that we would like to order and this guy came..there was NO.. what would you like to order Maam? instead he was not even keeping eye contact and was bowing down, trying to arrange the empty glasses which he brought along with the mineral water... I was struggling to tell him what we would like to order. And even as I tell him one of the items, it took him quite a while to digest what was being said.

The food took forever to come.

The food was served cold ( not ice cold, but colder than warm also). should have been served hot since they were taking so long to bring in the food.

Food taste horrible.

There's hair...

Very expensive for average tasting food. Ordered chicken hot pot which doesn't have the essential ingredients. They served us slices of cucumber, tomato, raddish, carrot, beans, cabbage, hardly 3 to 4 thin slices of chicken breast, few and tiny pieces bone parts of chicken, 1 leaf of pakchoy and 1noodles . No meat balls nor mushrooms. Their menu clearly say serves 3 or 4. Ordered prawns noodles for child and clearly said no spices and chillies. They served it with loads of chilly powder so have to order 1 more extra noodles. They didnt apologies nor took back that noodles. So we have to pay for both the noodles. Bibimpap was tasty though. We were family of 6 , ordered plenty of cocktails and other food, but they failed to impress me. It's not worth that...
