Life Cafe — Restaurant in Manipur

It was the most disappointing and saddest food I've ever had. Even roadside restaurant serves better food and is cheaper. My first experience was amazing and the food was great, that was in 2016.

I along with my husband visited this afternoon for lunch. First of all, the food we desperately wanted was denied due to no electricity, which we understand. So we ordered what could be arranged i.e, chicken noodle, mixed fried rice, cheese and sausage omelette, and two regular coffee (no electricity, so the host suggested we could have regular coffee).

REVIEW- Chicken noodle & Fried rice- it was too oily, the noodle had some foul smell, and seasoning was bland. We could have ignored the flaws had you served the condiments right! How do you expect someone to eat like a sick person with no chili sauce? We are chilly lovers. We can finish 1 ghost chilly/raja mircha/bhoot jholokia. Green chillies, we add 15-20 for chutney. So our spice level is extreme. And very sadly, you didn't even have chilli flakes or chilly powder(for a cafe even serving pizza, it's disappointing to not even have a chilli flakes). Really DISAPPOINTING!

We had to literally pick the chillies from the vinegar! Duh!

Cheese and sausage omlette - no complain!

Regular Coffee- What should I even say about the coffee? It was DISASTROUS, PATHETIC AND THE WORST coffee we have ever had. So, looks like you served us your staff's left over tea, and just added coffee powder on the surface so it looks like coffee. Nice try! You can out wit someone who has probably never drank coffee but not us. We have been drinking coffee from the likes of Starbucks to Costa to CCD's. You could have flatly refused the coffee instead of offering a regular coffee and masking it over with your tea.

Whoever is reading this, if the staff refuses you for any food whatsoever, due to no electricity, check if they have their condiments right! If you are chilly lover and you want spicy food, and they don't have chilly, then you should walk away! We should have done that.

Overall, the food was below average and price was too high! Thumbs down folks! You should have checked your inventory before opening the cafe or even offering...

I visit the place just once but I have an immense time. The night when I visit there was a live performance. The performers were amazing and ambience was perfect. I would highly recommend everyone to visit the place at least once. But as for the cafe I would like to express my concern and suggestion. On the night I visit everything was fine except one particular waitress. We placed the ordered but we weren't provided water. I went to the counter and ask the waitress standing at the counter can I have some water please? She replied me with an obnoxious attitude that it's there. I thought that it was my fault or maybe the way I speak to her was infuriating her but as I read the reviews it's not only me who experience her exasperating attitude. Other than that everything is I would say perfect because the waiters and waitress are amazing, the food is awesome. Therefore, I request the manager to kindly look into this matter. I rate 5 star because I felt the cafe deserves it but then one's awful attitude shouldn't be a matter when everything deserves it in the days to come or upcoming...

I went for lunch at the cafe but ended up to be greatly disappointed by it being unhygienic in terms of 'tiny ants' crawling around the table non stop + some dead ants stuck to the glass cups on the table for consumption of the customers. The food is all too pricy and not at all up to expectations. We went as a group of 5 people and usually even if they serve A dish in any decent place you get extra plates so you can enjoy your food individually but it was not the case here, we had to go and get the plates ourselves . Write the menu on our own + go and give it to them and yes pay before eat is what they follow. You can get better quantity, quality with cheaper money from local restaurants or cafes too . The situation in this cafe makes me so sad. Please be a bit kinder and serviceable to your customers. And people reading this, this is a very honest review. The hot and spicy pizza was not at all up to it's name as well as it's price! Out of five I wouldn't even give this half a star. sorry for having such high...
