MAWTYNGKONG RESTAURANT — Restaurant in Meghalaya

The worst hotel in Meghalaya.Eco park. We ordered Veg thali for 9 people. The rice was not hot so we are asking for hot rice but they told that "don't spread fake news.. We just bring down the rice from oven...you all are bengali? That's why you are taking lie..the Bengalis are always like that"..He also told that "don't eat leave from here, find another hotel" they disgraced us for our ethnicity .. is it fare for any traveler from India to get this kind of behaviour??? "Don't eat just leave from here"??? Not good Atmosphere for eating.

Next to Eco Park is this simple, clean, nice reasonably-priced thali place that also offers chow mein, fried rice, omelette, hot tea and also several flavours of icecream. Open from around 10.30am to 5.30pm in November when I was there. I had a satisfying fish thali, a couple of scoops of icecream and hot black tea for lunch, and next day they packed a veg fried rice and omelette to takeaway. The people who run this place were very nice to me, friendly and well-organised. I recommend...
