We are a travellers on the way from ooty to back home came to this restaurant on 2/4/25 as routine, but this time asked us to wait for more than 20 minutes which we patiently awaited and then drama started by giving us family room... order started with soups (crab & mashroom ) both came after 30 minutes with same base soup which i complaint immediately but no response,... Next order served American choupsy ( asked to server before order weather main chef is available and confirmed ) but came was fried noodles with sweet sause fill, immediately raised our concern but no response,... Next order followed was garlic chicken and paneer butter masala interestingly both base curry was same filled chicken and paneer in respective bowls didn't raised any complaints further,... Next order came with all rotis bluffing us by keeping same Malabar porata in different bowls saying noole porta in second bowl First order of chicken shawarma for kids came after 1 hours with cabage and mayonese fill which made me enough and raised my voice to call for owner to address the issue as above,... That gentle man came, listen and tasted after apologized for what happened and removed noole porata and mashroom soup from bill... This sequence of event spoiled our 2.5 hours...
Read moreEven the name Arabian restorant, I think they even don't know how the Arabian food taste. Thay gave some gravy with 3 small boneless chicken pieces and called Chettinad 😡😡 Especially not suggested for mallus...
Replay for owners comments-
Unfortunately we ordered one full alfahm. Chicken pieces are cut like alfahm but masala flavours like some chicken curry. This is the case which make me think like whether you know the Arabian taste or not. Thank you for confirming that the chettinad is not an Arabian food😂😂
Okay, I can agree it can be 5 piece maximum. Each piece is much smaller than chicken chili pieces. Here my complaint is not only for the chicken pieces or its size. The worst part is its taste, it was something else. I don't know what you mean by compensate right now. We already complaint the same to the waiter once after serving it and to the cashier while paying the bill.
Its about alfahm, which I mentioned above. If you modify the recipe, requested to change the name as well. This is a kind of cheeting...
Read moreThis was our first visit here (on Jan 19, 2018). We ordered Chicken clear soup, Romali rotis, Pepper Chicken and Tandoori Chicken.
Soup was excellent, Romali rotis and Pepper Chicken were very good. Tandoori Chicken was succulent, well cooked with perfect char on the chicken, good flavour profile BUT everything was ruined because the chicken was absolutely BLAND. Even the pickled veggies, Mayo and mint chutney were very good, but the hero of the dish didn't work well that day. Being a huge fan of Tandoor cuisine, if the other dishes were average and Tandoori chicken was delicious, I would have given a 4 stars. I hope to believe that this was a one off incident, and not a regular thing.
Would I Return: Yes I would, with high hopes for tasting their succulent Tandoori chicken(definitely with Salt ofcourse). If I am satisfied, will be editing this review as well....
