Sri Annapoorna Hotel — Restaurant in Mettupalayam

I was very hesitant to go to this hotel after I saw the rating but there were no other branded restaurants near to Mettupalayam railway station. Also my hunger was killing me. So I decided to plunge. First I wanted to order parotta and asked if it will made fresh but he said that he wil reheat and give. So I decided to order one plain roast dosa. It was very crispy and nice. Sambhar was very good but coconut chutney was ok and tomato chutney was good though it had garlic. Next I ordered chapathi and asked the waiter if it will be made fresh or already made. He said he will make it fresh and give. It was very good but I did not like the kurma. Then o ordered strong coffee . It was very flavorful and good. So I decided to give 5 stars for the good food I ate which fulfilled my hunger true to its name alias...

"Unhygienic and Disappointing Experience" Found house flies in food I visited Hotel Sri Annapoorna in Mettupalayam and had a terrible experience. I found a dead housefly in the chutney I was served. After informing the server, I ordered poori instead, but shockingly, I found another dead housefly in that too. It was utterly disgusting, and I felt nauseous.

The server was rude and impolite, which added to the frustration. When I raised the issue with the higher authority at the billing counter, there was no reaction or acknowledgment, which was highly unprofessional.

The only positive aspect of this hotel is its spacious parking, which I believe is the main reason people visit. Hygiene-wise, it deserves a 0. This was the worst dining experience I’ve ever had, and I strongly advise others to...

Sri Annapoorna Hotel -

Located near the bus stand signal in Mettupalayam on the main highway of avinashi Ooty road.The hotel is quite large and has can hold upto 80 people comfortably.

The location is the best part of the restaurant. It's near the railway station and centre of the market. It has a huge parking lot opposite the hotel which makes the place easy to access even during peak traffic hours in the car.

The restaurant is cleanly maintained. Service is good. The kitchen looked clean. Sambar Vadai, rava roast, pongal, Poori masal, you name it you get there. Sambar and white chutney ultimate.Food quality was decent and priced reasonably low for such a busy spot.
