This was the 94th KFC store that I visited across the country(India). When it comes to dining, it's not a matter of fancy plates or delicious looking foods for me. It's always been KFC for the past 12 years.
So, this was the 6th KFC store I visited in Mizoram(my home state has 7 KFC restaurant when I write this). And truth be told, my expectations were high. I ordered a Wednesday bucket offer, I chit chatted with the cashier and manager at the counter informing them that I do not wish to waste any food and, I told them not to serve anything else apart from 10pcs H&C. So, when they informed me of the bill amount I was a bit shocked. I usually dine at KFC at least once every week if the store is available near my location and I am well aware of the ballpark for the bills. When I inquired further, I was informed that they added two chocolate mousse cakes as dessert, claiming it was a specific store combo and cannot be changed. I informed the lady manager who was also available on the counter that, I do not wish to take dessert as I cannot eat chocolate products and purchasing it would mean a waste of money for me. And I mentioned that I am a hardcore fan of KFC and can't recall such a combo ( I am aware of the fact that such cheap tactics are used by KFC in my home state here to up their sales). The manager then told me that it's a specific store combo and even if I don't want it, here's the exact words " You can pay for it and not take it". I was seriously offended and shocked to hear such an unprofessional suggestion from the service industry, that too from a manager. Being in a service industry for more than 7 years, my experience and interaction with the staff is way below any company standards.
Since I was tired after riding my bike for more than 3 days straight, I took my order in a hope that I will get a survey link and claim back a refund. And, surprise ..surprise.... The cashier at the counter added her number or maybe someone else's number on my receipt to get a survey link to get good survey or maybe to get a discount coupon.
Then, it dawned on me that, the KFC management here in Champhai seriously has an extra level of dirt in their hand and trying to resolve my issue with them is not an option. So, as I usually do, I took the receipt with me and got a clear picture of it as well for Corporate escalation, and I am expecting a response from their end. And, I am willing to go an extra mile to get this issue resolved.
This is not a matter of ₹200-₹300, it's a matter of deceitful action from the restaurant chain and violation of the consumer right.

Read moreThe workers scammed me twice. First dine-in, they took orders offline as servers were down, so they could charge me anything they wanted.
Second, delivery, they cancelled my 1st order and replaced it with another with my consent, however i was charged handling charges for both the orders, offline. I gpay the delivery boy.
The food quality is worse when it is late, 7pm and later. Taste totally different, no flavor at all....
