CHIEFS BEER BAR & RESTAURANT — Restaurant in Nangal

Sorry to lower rating but hurts to see the condition on this place.. this place need renovation and maintenance.. the boundry wall is broken and need repair and paint, furniture seems change or deep cleaning, same thing goes for overall property. Food quality has also degraded. It was earlier a family place now more like used as a place to have drinks. Service was excellent. May be this place need more footfall to earn so I suggest to get some food bloggers and advertise the same. The location and all is perfect but should be enhanced to get perfect atmosphere. Some more suggestions: I can see fans placed there which might be used for summer time. Those looked like completely dirty and full of rust. Put some cover if you cannot put those somewhere else in winters to have clean look Have gas or electric heaters near tables in winters. It will attract more customers. Have proper cleaner washroom. Washroom need proper renovation like dismantle and build new one. They were very dirty. Food quality - do check the food quality. Even cutlery was old and was not...

I had heard the stories from my parents about cheif so went there on my wife's birthday along with my family. It has become worst restaurant. The manager there is very rude and he doesn't care about customer. I had booked a table well in advance but it's not required in this bad place. They don't care how many you are and you have to find your own table. The place is overpriced and waiter there will push you to buy more dishes. Food was also not great and there is no place for family sitting. You have to roam around waiters to give your order as they don't come to your table so frequently. I see the management and staff is not Corstious and they don't care what you eat or where you sit. Very very bad service. I regretted to go there especially with my family. So Service bad Food overpriced and not so delicious Bar services okey Manager and staff has don't care attitude

Visited this restaurant after more than five decades, on our way from Delhi to HP. It was an emotional nostalgic experience for me.

I vividly remember visiting this restaurant often as a small child, along with my parents, during our visits to Bhakra in late 1950 and early 1960s. I also remember that spread over beautiful lawns, It was primarily an open-air restaurant during those days, with an excellent location by the side of the lake and canal. The locationional advantage remains, but the existing condition of lawns left much to be desired.

If my memory serves me right, the restaurant's name was just 'Chief's Restaurant' in the earlier days, and it also has undergone change.

We had our lunch here, and all the dishes were well cooked and very satisfying.

It hurts me to downgrade the rating of this iconic restaurant by a star because of it needs better...
