This is probably the only restaurant inside of the Delhi Cantt that has me visiting it on a regular basis. The reason stems from the fact that they're very reliable and don't get much wrong. So I finally decided to review it when I visited it today with another regular member of the joint and non other than the Madame herself.
This has been my order during previous visits as well, so it helps gauge the consistency. For starters we ordered two fresh lime sodas, one oregano fries and one chilly chicken dry followed by chicken fried rice with another portion of chilly chicken dry. I had asked the boy waiting on me to ask the chef to give the fried rice a garlic twist even though it wasn't on the menu. It isn't much for a chef of a restaurant of this caliber to tend to this need.
✓ Fresh Lime Sodas on point. Fresh from the first to the last sip.
✓ Madame loves their fries and for good reason. Crisp and well seasoned.
✓ Chilly chicken done just the way it should be, lots of spring onions, bell peppers and actually morsels of meat.
°|✓ Neat and clean preparation of the fried rice but the garlic twist was missing.
° The Menu's are in an absolutely pathetic condition. I hope they make the time to represent their good food in a much more presentable manner.
✓ The ambience is tasteful done and is kept very clean.
✓ It's always a pleasure being waited on by the staff of this cosy restaurant.
My visits definitely are going to continue like they have but I definitely hope to see a change in...
Read moreFood theory is a cizy restaurant in in Delhi Cantt and until and unless you have access to the cantonment, you cannot enjoy the privilege. we had fully loaded chicken pizza, chicken Chapli Kabab ,chicken fried rice and chilli chicken dry with coffee . The food and and service was flawless. Pizza, according to me was not as Crisp as one made in a wood fired oven but was too good for the price charged. the Chapli Kabab was mild and not as flavourful as it should have been. The chilli chicken was awesome well marinated Crisp and really yummy even though it was dry without any gravy it was fantastic with the fried rice. The chicken fried rice was absolutely awesome. Fresh fragrant rice Mildly Spice just as it should be with lots of veggies and chicken. The The Chef had made the Rice absolutely perfectly had I been able to I would definitely had one more bowl of rice The only drawback is that they do not serve filtered water and you must purchase bottled water for someone who prefers to avoid buying water only for the sake of the environment that is a definite negative. The coffee was served in a paper cup which I don't really appreciate unless I am moving out of the restaurant so when restaurant can invest in a coffee machine they should also get...
Read moreWe dropped in all of a sudden looking for a place to have lunch during our shopping visit to Taurus CSD Canteen and other works in the Cantt. Although, I have seen this place many times during my earlier visits but this is the first time I along with my family friends stepped in to dine during lunch hours. The place is small neat and clean- with a good ambience- both for indoor and outdoor seating. The outdoor seating is an added attraction with gazebos and thatched conical roof and hanging paper mesh lamps which gives this place a very serene romantic and ethnic place. The food served is tastey. They have good selections of mocktails. We ordered Ginger Ale and Fresh Lime Soda. The glass containers in which the drinks are served are attractive. The staff is decent, well behaved and prompt. We ordered Murgh Kalimirch (Yummy Highly Recommended) and Kadhai Chicken (again rastey but not more than Chicken Kalimirch). The quantity served is little less. They serve four pieces in a helping which is adequate for 2 people. The menu consists of ensemble of Indian, Continental and Italian dishes. The food for three coated us ₹ 1400. Overall, a nice place located in a good surrounding...
