Nestled on Rao Tula Ram Marg inside the Karnataka Sangha building, the restaurant’s bright, canteen-style décor feels welcoming and unpretentious. Wooden tables and chairs are neatly arranged in an indoor, family-friendly space. Even during peak hours you’ll find the place buzzing with South Indian food lovers—on weekends you may share a table with strangers, but the friendly atmosphere more than makes up for it .

Read moreI visited this place for the third time this week. The previous two times were ok. The food was ok and the service was nothing special to mention. The last two times, I went in the night so I had to wait over an hour. But this time, I went in the evening. There was only one narrow table near the entrance which was vacant and both me and my friend sat there and ordered. As the table was too small, we wanted to change the table to a bigger one. So when when wither table got empty, we were about to move places and we saw that the waiter read coming with our order. So we asked him to please move the order to the other table with us. We sat in the new table and the waiter kept the food and then started to rudely lecture us. That we should have changed the table before the food comes otherwise the service at the first table will be late by 30 min and then the visitors in that table will wonder why their food ws getting late. He went on in such a rude manner when the other guests and servers were looking on. I said sorry and I will keep this in mind the next time. All this was because we changed a table to a more comfortable one. Later when we were having the food, we found a long strand of hair in the red chutney and we complained. They took the bowl and replaced it with another one and didn't even bother to give an explanation. So with these two incidents, we were a bit disgusted. So while paying, we talked with the cashier about this and he didn't even feel necessary to apologise or even give an assuring word. He was not even taking it seriously and didn't even try to say that they would try to improve. Seriously disappointed with this behaviour of the staff and the experience. Some of the chefs and the servers were not wearing hairnets. But anyway, I am never going back again. Better to go for other south Indian places where they treat customers better. Food is...
