My family and I have been regular visitors of Clay Kitchen (now also operating with the name Downtown Diner) for quite some time. Over the years, this restaurant has held a special place in our dining list because of its unique recipes, cozy ambience, and especially its starters and desserts. In the past, we often raved about their falooda and vegetarian starters, which used to be exceptional.
However, during our most recent visit, we noticed a clear shift in the overall food quality compared to earlier experiences. Here is an honest breakdown of what we ordered: β’ Sweet Corn Soup: Pleasant and decent in tasteβnothing extraordinary, but satisfying. β’ Dahi Kabab: Good and enjoyable, maintaining a familiar flavor and texture. β’ Veg Hara Bara Kabab: Unfortunately, this dish was a disappointment. The taste and freshness were far from expectations and did not reflect the standard we had once come to love. β’ Falooda: This used to be one of my absolute favorites here. After asking manager for tikka masala they have took our half eaten butter masala and converted that to tikka masala that too taste so bad.
