I rarely leave negative reviews, but I feel it’s important to share our experience. We ordered food from Arabian Grill for a very special occasion — my sister and brother’s wedding anniversary. Unfortunately, the food completely ruined what was supposed to be a joyful celebration.
Every dish we ordered was a disaster. The quarter shawaya chicken was especially disappointing — it was completely bland, as if it had just been boiled with salt and not marinated at all. It was inedible and had no flavor whatsoever.
We also ordered malai kofta, chicken noodles, and fried rice, hoping for a satisfying variety. Sadly, each of these dishes fell far below expectations. The flavors were either missing or just poorly executed. In fact, we left all the food untouched and kept it aside, hoping the restaurant owner would taste it themselves and understand the level of quality they served us.
I’ve never had such a disappointing food experience in my life. This was not just a regular meal — it was meant for a special occasion, and Arabian Grill completely let us down. I sincerely hope they take customer feedback seriously and work on improving the quality and consistency of their food.
We ordered from Arabian Grill for a very special occasion — my sister and brother’s wedding anniversary — and the experience was so terrible it turned our celebration into a nightmare. It honestly felt more like a death anniversary than a joyful gathering.
The so-called chicken shawaya was actually just chicken shawam — no marination, no flavor, just boiled chicken with salt. It was shocking. The rest of the food — malai kofta, chicken noodles, fried rice — was equally disappointing and barely edible. We kept everything aside for the restaurant owner to taste because it was that bad.
I never imagined I’d have to warn others like this, but based on our experience, I would never recommend Arabian Grill to anyone — especially not for any special occasion. Please think twice before...
Read moreWent there with my friend about ten days ago. I’m a vegetarian and already knew that they’d take some time to prepare Paneer Tikka, so thought I’ll order it, then accompany my friend to a new mobile phones shop opened there, as he wanted to check out some new phones. We went to the first floor and told the waiter that we want to order food, we’ll go out and come back in about 15 mins and we’ll dine there. But to my surprise, the waiter refused saying that “you’d have to sit here and order food”. And I asked him what the problem is, and then he said “you’d have to pay the bill first”. I said, “ok I’ll pay the bill and go out and come back in about 15-20 mins, we are going to the new mobile shop opposite to this restaurant”. But he went on saying “no no, if you’re going to have food here, you have to sit here and order”. He was acting like I was a nuisance or so. Not wanting to argue with him, I went out with my friend and came back, sat there and ordered. While taking the order(another waiter this time), he said “it’ll take some time to prepare”. I replied, “I already knew that, that’s why I wanted to order first, pay the bill and go out, but that was unacceptable for you people” The food was of just average taste and quality, like always.
Two days ago, I wanted to eat outside, called Nalanda, the nearby restaurant. Ordered butter naan and chilli gobi, and I said I’ll be dining at the restaurant. The only reply from the other end was “we’ll have it ready by the time you’re here”. I walked in, said I’ve already ordered and they put the food on my table. As simple as that.
Arabian grill and fry has come a long way from starting as an Arabian food restaurant at east Ottapalam, expanding their business to many other locations, but they still have to learn a lot about how to treat...
Read moreI was disappointed with my experience at this restaurant. I ordered a quarter portion Shawaya , but the waiter refused to give me that and said they could only provide half portion. I was confused because their menu clearly says that they offer quarter portion. I asked the waiter to explain why they couldn't give me a quarter portion, but he just said that they "don't do that."
I was not happy with the way the waiter handled the situation. He was rude and dismissive, and he didn't seem to care about my satisfaction. I ended up not ordering anything, and I left the restaurant feeling disappointed.
If you're looking for a place to get a quarter portion of shawaya , I would suggest going somewhere else.
No Comments on taste of food and quality. It's always good.
