If you’re looking forward to spoil your special occasion then The Cult- Terra is the place. Pathetic food, sad DJ and the worst worst worst customer service and staff.
I recently went to the cult on 27th july to celebrate my birthday brunch around 2p.m. and i swear never to visit this place again.
Firstly the brunch is overpriced with hardly any items on the menu and trust me the mezze platter and other puffs which was kept open in the buffet had all sort of flies and mosquitoes on it which was such a big turn off for me atleast. The moment you are above to enter the place they ask you to pay for the brunch. I have never seen a restaurant where they ask you to pay first, get the bands and then enter inside. So you like the ambience or not, you like the food or not they will charge you first only as it seems even they know they lack food quality and ambience.
Then when i asked for a white sauce pasta for my 3.5 year old kid the staff said they didn’t have any and that i need to speak to the manager. When i told the manager he made such a weird face and then i literally had to show them my whatsapp chat with one of their team member which happened on 25th July where i am confirming that if they have kids white sauce pasta on their buffet brunch menu and she had confirmed yes on that ( i have a copy of the same).
The Manager later said that their staff is new and untrained and are not aware of all this and my kid was starving with hunger. The pasta arrived after 20-25 minutes and then manager came and told me that this has to be on A’la carte but since our staff made a mistake we are giving you complimentary and then he said we ideally take half the charges of the brunch for the toddler but since staff didn’t inform you we are giving you that as well complimentary. The tone in which he was saying was so damn rude as if he was doing some favour on us.
Then when i went to the counter to take fish and chicken and paneer tikka they had just prepared it in advance and had kept it in front tray which was all cold and full of flies. The pani puris at the chat counter was fully moist and stale. The chicken lollipops at the chinese counter had such a weird smell coming from it and yes the whole place is full of flies.
When i ordered my wine, after having 2 sips a mosquito fell in it and died. I felt so pukish, can y’all imagine this is how i was spending my birthday in such an unhygienic place with tasteless and cold food and rude management.
We need to call the waiters 2-3 times to clear our plates and glasses even though they all were standing in a big group right behind us chit chatting.
Then my kid asked for fries (mind it my toddler is 3.5 years old) and this time another manager came and he was so so rude in his tone when we asked can we get something from the brunch without spice in it and he said to my husband rudely and loudly “ye kya baat ho gai” and that’s when i lost my temper and told him ill raise a consumer complaint against you guys on national consumer forum being a lawyer myself for treating us so badly as if y’all are doing a favour, i said we don’t want anything and please leave and thanks for spoiling my birthday and whatever money you want for my toddler just take and leave. Which restaurant here in india charges for buffet for 3.5 years old? And their staff on call had themselves said kids below 5 years are free.
This other manager (with big nostrils and sounded more like a south indian guy) came again with a smile and fries for the kid and then said calm down, don’t raise consumer complaint Ma’am, i asked him repeatedly for his name but he didn’t tell me his name at all and strange that the managers and staff’s dont have a name batch on their shirt and then what another fly came and was dead in my other glass of wine and inwas done with their food and cocktails and their DJ was so thanda and his music shit. Overall will never visit this pathetic place again and will highly recommend not to waste your money here, rather go to exotica in yerwada as it has much food food...
Read moreCult a super sized place in Magarpatta. The location of cult is away from main stream malls, is only such property on road. You can easily spot it once u follow right directions.
So cult tera is huge al- fresco area with greenery, water fall at entrance and a live singer corner. I love outdoor sittings, and this place aces. While cult house is the next posh club, will be beating Miami like places very soon( they do have the potential to stand up to that level) . With a humongous wall styled up as bar, a very private vip area, yes upstairs area too. How can we forget two beautiful chandeliers at entrance door and inside cult house.
Moving to food drinks Alert - Coctails are potent af!!!!
Drinks:- Fishing 🎣- A very unique drink served fish shaped container. This one is vodka and strawberry based drink. The double affair- another vodka drink, this a tube shaped drink which two people can share. The cult tap - NO Your drink won’t be coming out of tap, but yes it will be in bucket below tap. Very Innovative Right?!! Cult patiala Peg- Okay. So this something next level to LIITs. So strong!!! Trust me this potent drink is enough to get your weekend started. This one was whiskey based I guess. Only thing I didn’t liked is that they served it wine glass, common give it a lil punjabi touch, it is Patiala peg. Wine glass doesn’t give justice to this drink.
White wine Sangria - again it was not basic wine with apples slices into drink. It was good with whatever it was mixed.
Above 4 are from my recommendations list.
Firstly I was fascinated by the 16 pages food menu. They do cover North Indian, Italian, Continental, Lebanese, seafood and Asian.
Starters :- Fry basket - well this one was for a 3 year kid on table. Perfect meal for both kids and adults ;P. Who doesn’t love potatoes in different shapes like fries, wafer chips or wedges. And yes with dip!!! Unlike some places who serve ketchup only.
Paneer real tikka- Well this one had a spicy marination. Doesnt taste like bland and boring. Baked Mushroom Tarts- I am not a mushroom lovers, but I had two of these tarts. So delicious.
Galouti and cheese Coins- well thr was no cheese inside. I guess there cheese sauce was between Kebab and coin layer at bottom. Honestly not a fan of this.
BAOS:- SiRarcha Tofu - crispy tofu with sirarcha marination was yumzaaa. My fav.
Dumpling :- Black Mushroom Gyoza - served with three sauces in dumpling basket.
I don’t remember the name of this starters but it was served in fries basket, had potato coated and deep fried( more like aloo k pamper). A good item for chai Pakode thing.
Wood fired Pizza :- Italian green pizza - yes thin crusted one, as the heading woodfired pizza. Sundried tomatoes and olives with good amount of cheese.
Desserts :- Chocolate Nutella Brownie- how can two good things Nutella and brownie can make anyone upset?!! Well this dessert was good.
Tiramisu- not a fan of this, but yes Tiramisu lovers might like it.
Baked cheesecakes :-
Mango Cheesecake - I am not a lover of mango desserts, but this one has my heart. Served with slice of mango. This one was good ending to dinner.
Blueberry cheesecake;- Cult Aced!! it. So soft and fresh with glazing jelly on top.Yummilicious.
Summing up, food was finger licking good and drinks potent in town!! I have real hopes with this place. Hope they do good. Thank u Cult for hosting my Cult!!
Cheers 🥂 and...
Read moreFirst things first, Hadapsar/ Magarpatta badly needed a place like this. I'm glad that I no longer have to travel all the way to KP, KN or VN for good food and drinks or to party for that matter.
Now talking about the place, the place looks gorgeous and has a huge seating capacity. The property is divided into 2 - Cult Terra (the outer section) and Cult House (the inner section) where the DJ plays. Both the places are under the same roof but have 2 different identities all together. The food, drinks and vibe of both these are totally different from each other.
I recently tried the food at Cult Terra and here's what I have to say about it :
Orange, asparagus and chicken salad - This is a salad. A salad which consists of orange segments, poached chicken, asparagus, arugula, bocconcini, parsley and crispy almonds. First off the pairing of chicken and orange is excellent and secondly the orange flavour gave the zesty touch to the salad. A very refreshing summer salad.
Rajma Chawal - Well, this isn't your traditional Rajma Chawal. They've actually gone ahead and made a rajma chawal galaouti kebab. These kebabs are a little too dry. These should be a little more moist so that it's easy to swallow.
East India Mutton Cutlet - This was the bomb. Tiny little cutlets are plated in a really fancy manner. Spiced mutton cutlets come with house ketchup and onion slaw. Simply flavorful. Loved these and is a must try at Cult Terra.
Dynamic Prawn Dumplings- This was the only Asian item I got to try from their menu but hey I'm pretty sure these guys are doing a good job with their Asian menu as the dumplings were exceptionally beautiful. The outer cover was nice and thin and the filling was superbly done. Loved these and also these aren't expensive at all..
Mutton Nihari - All the mutton nihari fans in the house this is a must try dish. Nihari is basically a stew with consist of slow cooked meat. The stew is the soul of the dish and these guys have nailed it. Also I really liked the way they serve it. Like a really fancy bowl with a roti placed on a hook. Attaching a picture below. Loved it ;)
Thyme Chicken Royal - Chicken with a mushroom sauce on top of it comes with sides like fries and a salad. Honestly the mushroom sauce works its magic on the chicken and the whole dish for that matter. It's a pretty decent dish. Nothing extra ordinary.
Tiramisu - Their Tiramisu is nice.
Blueberry Cheesecake - Hey hey true love. It's safe to say that these guys are the best in town when it comes to cheesecakes. Like one bite and I was in heaven. Guys you guys have my heart. I'm in love with the cheesecake at Cult Terra.
Overall, new party place on this side of the town with excellent food and drinks. Wish you guys all the...
