On our Himachal return journey fortunately yes fortunately we visited here for our dinner. At the very first place infrastructure catched our eyes being highway dhaba it was not expected at all but the washrooms was very nice and uniquely decorated that was not the only thing but cleaniness of bathroom were absolutely very good. Coming to the food I have been always craving during this Himachal for auhtnetic food and as I explained earlier fortunately I cam to apline.....being auhtnetic food lover I ordered the local speciality punjab makai the roti and saraso da sag.......an we were speechless that was absolutely tasty... Lasssi absolutelty athentic... professional staff envrinment lights everything was stunning.Cherry on cake I had wor with owner of this place , I have appricitaed thier service his smile was on the top everything and I though he is accepting all my blessings with the marathi proverb... अन्नदाता सुखी...

Acceptable food, but poor service and hygiene standards. Also they try to charge extra with the free lassi gimmick.

The plates were wet and somewhat dirty, and when asked to get clean plates the waiter pointed to the tissues, suggesting that that's what the tissues are for. On enquiring whether the free lassi is really free, the waiter confirmed so and asked whether we wanted salted or sweet lassi. We asked for sweet, and later were billed Rs 80 for it. On enquiring, the smart waiter says that the free lassi is only salted, the sweet one is charged, which he didn't clarify when taking the order. Complained to the owner and got the charge removed, but got the distinct impression that this is simply the owners ploy to get people to order an extra lassi and...

Awesome place to visit! I am a tea lover and tea here is just refreshing. Finally got mere type ki 🍵 after 7-8 days during my Himachal trip. I visited Alpine Dhaba for dinner while on the way to Chandigarh from Manali.Big and awesome exterior and interior with ample parking space on highway. Ekdam palace types. Ambiance and service is superb. Food quality, quantity, price, taste just mind blowing. Interior is very beautiful representing Punjab culture. We were travelling in group of 9 people including 3 kids. Kids enjoyed playing there. Other thing would like to mention is washrooms are clean and well maintained. I would definitely recommend Alpine Dhaba and will love to visit again for the great ambiance, service and enjoy makke di roti,...

Jun 2025 A great place to stop. VERY CLEAN BATHROOMS. The food was tasty and service very quick. Recommendations- 1. Sweet lassi is good but fills your stomach. Good for two people or order small glass if you are having a meal. 2. If you are into chaach or salted lassi it’s amazing what they serve. 3. We ordered a thaali (Rs 280/- I think). Pic is added. Enough food in one thaali for two persons. You May order additional bread/ roti as the vegetable and daal is enough. It works out cheaper than ordering each dish separately. 4. It’s a dhaba so do not expect fine dining experience. The crowd consists mainly travellers so do not expect a quiet atmosphere. 5. Overall a good experience and I hope they keep maintaining the standards.

At Alpine Dhaba on the Punjab highway, the lassi was truly memorable—a full jug was served, large enough for several people to share. It was thick, creamy, and refreshing, capturing the authentic Punjabi flavor. Along with the lassi, we tried the Alpine Special Thali, which offered a hearty and delicious spread, perfect for a fulfilling meal after a long drive. The washroom was unexpectedly massive—so big, in fact, that it felt like you could host a small wedding inside! It was a surprising and humorous highlight of the stop. This dhaba is a must-visit for anyone traveling on the highway, offering not only great food but also clean and spacious amenities.
