I recently visited Barista and ordered a cappuccino. While the cafe had a great atmosphere and friendly staff, I was disappointed with the quality of my coffee drink. The barista at Barista steamed the coffee again after it was served, which altered the taste and texture of the drink. When I raised my concern, the barista mentioned that they couldn't heat the milk up to 60 degrees Celsius for a cappuccino, which made me question their expertise in making espresso-based drinks.
As a coffee lover, I believe that there are certain best practices that cafes should follow when making coffee drinks. For instance, it's important to use freshly roasted coffee beans and grind them to a fine espresso grind to ensure maximum flavor extraction. It's also important to steam milk to the appropriate temperature range (55-65 degrees Celsius for cappuccinos) to achieve a creamy, velvety texture without overcooking the milk.
In addition, cafes should avoid reheating coffee drinks with steam, as it can cause the coffee to become burnt and bitter. If a customer expresses concern about the quality of their drink, the barista should listen attentively and take steps to address the issue.
Overall, while I enjoyed the ambiance and friendly staff at Barista, I believe that there is room for improvement in their coffee-making process. I would recommend that they train their baristas on best practices for making espresso-based drinks and ensure that they listen attentively to customer concerns. With these improvements, I believe that Barista could become a great destination for...
Read morewe went for a treat on Dec 10, 2021. We ordered three cappuccinos along with muffins and paneer tikka sandwich, though muffins were nice but sandwich was cold, as we expected something hot and at least warm in the lovely winters and were in great mood to enjoy. Apart from this I was surprised to know the guy on the counter charged us extra 150 rupees for putting chocolate on our coffee. Normally, a cappuccino comes with topping of chocolate or cinnamon powder. it was sad that the guy did not know, what the real cappuccino is, hence over charged us with the reference of add on chocolate fudge. Seriously, do someone needs to make a barista or a FOH in a cafe, understand that what is the meaning of fudge. Is it a liquid chocolate ? A fudge is a chocolate candy or kind of cake.Even there was nothing mentioned in their menu that a person will be charged extra 50 rupees for adding chocolate on cappuccino. It was not our fault that they did not have chocolate or cinnamon powder for cappuccino topping. Really disappointed, not...
